Interesting. I personally really enjoyed the music/science mix although the crowd/vibe was a bit of a mixed bag. A lot of stressed families and the day ticket w*nkers (depended on the headliner how bad this was, New Order was awful) amidst the usual festival faces. Holding it at Jodrell Bank means there has to be some sort of science crossover… -
Either all the J-pop music is absolutely brilliant and mindblowing live or Primavera booking team is absurdly good in cherry picking. I've only seen three J-pop artists (all of them at Primavera - Perfume, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Atarashii Gakko!!!) and it's always the same - for the first few minutes you just can't entirely comprehend what you see and then comes the absolute euphoria. Other Saturday's highlights (are they even highlights when they cover almost eveything I saw?): The Lemon Twigs, Royel Otis, Liberato and absolutely perfect goodbye party by Romy (+ AG!!!) + Charli XCX. Best day of the festival for me and, once again, best Primavera ever. * * attending since 2017

I don’t think I mentioned passing trade. My point was that the Pyramid itself is a draw and that will help bolster SZA’s numbers. I expect she’ll do quite well. -

What a belter of a sunny day. My car audio choice to match was some very loud Super8 & Tab - aside from Glasto would love to see those guys live
