The one-way system

I had a wicked Glasto experience this year, but I am not sure about the new one-way system that they have put in place. I heard of people waiting for 2 hours to get into the South East corner and then giving up...did other people have a similar experience, what did you think???

There's another thread on this. Tbh, given Eavis is happy with the arrangement (see Q&A thread), it might still be in place as the 'solution' in two years time. I only hope he reads eFests forums . . .

It seemed fine by me, apart from on the Saturday night/Sunday morning when we tried to get in at about 3am, only to be told by a (rather obnoxious) security bloke that it was closed and wouldn't be opening again- possibly not even the next day :s :s :s. Still not a clue what that was about!

there was a nasty crush at the opening of the queuing system one night, with a massive rush of people thoughtlessly pushing and squashing those in front. one of the least 'glasto' things i've ever experienced on site. but hopefully this was just teething problems... on the whole i think they regulated flow of people into those areas well. and it was good to see other parts of the site staying open later to draw people away from there...

i thought it worked well enough, I only used the 1 way system, didn't use the old railway as I went after the headliners - walk wasn't too long imo - and as said, once I got to the south east area - the queue wasnt a problem - queued for a bit by the barriers for maybe 10-15mins then we were all let through..walked right along the fence and right in

although my mate did say the night before he got there and it was taking hours to get in, apparently there were signs up along the wall saying like 'if you're here it will take x mins to get in' and he said beyond the barriers the start of the walk along the fence was a 2hr queue the night before

this was the sat for orbital..walked right along the fence, no queuing right in
