Where do tent thieves come from?

Guest TheGreenDropsRule

All our chairs got robbed on thursday night while we were out. Also someone had gone through my tent, but due to there being nothing but a pile of clothes nothing was taken.

The next day we find ALL of our chairs in the middle of a group of tents, no more than 15 metres away from our campsite.

All bowled over there and asked the mong sitting there if he was finished with the chairs, and took them all back.

Bloke just went, "errr i dunno where they came from mate"

But he did know which ones weren't ours. Funny that. Complete tool.

Really annoyed me, never had any trouble with thieves at glasto before. Annoyed me even more that our neighbours would just help themselves to ours because they decided they needed them.

I don't know what country or ethnicity the pieces of shit were from, that ruined our festival, but it doesn't matter. We will forever remember Glastonbury as perhaps the worst, most traumatic experiences of our lives, and that is how our family & friends back home will now think of it.

Michael Eavis probably doesn't care, as he got our money already, but we intend to let him know about our experience.

Perhaps we did not really fit in, so our absence in the future won't be a big deal, but Glastonbury festival will be a place we will Never return to, and will only bear deep scars when we think about it.

We plan to stay in the states from now on for festivals, which is quite a shame, as we're huge music fans and festival lovers, and we would rather be saying good things about Glastonbury, but that obviously will never happen now.

To the previous two posters, and anyone else who feels the need to call us names, and say we were even partly to blame.....GO f**k YOURSELVES.

You have no idea the Hell we went through, and how most of the so-called Glastonbury staff made us constantly feel as if we were on our own.

My fiance keeps telling me that there are plenty of nice, caring people in the world, and in the UK in particular. It's folks like you that continue to remind me that all the nice people, don't make up for those who could care less, and truly believe we're "drama queens."

I'm sorry our boring drama queen routine is bothering some of you folk. We saw a quote from Mr. Eavis that said he wants to ensure that everyone attending Glastonbury feel completely safe, and has a good time. Perhaps you should consider that, before complaining about my posting on what I guess is YOUR private message board. So sorry to ruin your day.

To recap....we arrive by coach, whereupon our sleeping bags are stolen before we even leave the shuttle. The first night, our tent is entered, bags gone through WHILE WE SLEPT INSIDE, considerable sum of money, passport, drivers license, credit cards, atm cards, rail pass, all stolen.

Finally, to top it all off, one of our bags was stolen off the train while we returned to London. It contained several pairs of shoes, toiletries, books, and some other items. Thankfully nothing that's irreplaceable.

Our Glastonbury experience was SHIT. And if it bothers you to hear me complain and say that, then too f**king bad! I guess the live and learn moment comes in knowing that you have people in the UK, who are low life scum, like many of the dirty, filthy Americans I'm used to back home.

I would write to ME if I were you to explain the issues you had with the security staff (esp. if you have their numbers) as they are always looking for ways to improve things at Glastonbury and I am sure you will get a decent reply back.

If you get to the end of your life and having some stuff nicked at a festival is the worst thing that happened to you, you should count yourself as one lucky bastard.

    • That leaker off Instagram was saying earlier this year that Nickelback are doing a tour with Broco and Wargasm, but no evidence as yet
    • Gojira are unoficially confirmed by the organisation at Hellfest since last December already.   Slayer was supposed to be this year as a Mainstage 2 headliner at the place of Volbeat for a thrash day but negotiations fell off. Very likely to be there next year.    MCR I didn't know about but it fits well with Hellfest's desire to keep one day as more punk/rock orientated.    Europe are a confirmed headliner for Sweden Rock 2027. They will not headline HF but we may seem them on the bill. I am very curious who will be the legacy bands next year at HF. There was some backlash after 2025 and a bit of a return to heavier metal on the bill in 2026 - e.g. Gatekeeper on the main stage. The only considerable legacy acts I see coming (if they are in Europe) and haven't been at HF for a while are Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Slash, FFDP (if you count them as legacy), ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I really hope they manage to pull sth big for the 20th anniversary like AC/DC.
