For a quid, who'd have believed it?

I love poundies..it probably says something about the town I live in that our poundies was recently made larger and now an even bigger 99p shop has opened.

I noticed amazon have a sale on various bits of camping equipment at the minute - between 20 & 70% off - some walking boots down to fairly good prices too.

And a wool blanket is a must. Not a knitted one, more a thick felted style one. I 'borrowed' the one I had on my bed in my hostel in Sydney, took it with me to the festival in 09, found it works so well with the Gelert mattress combination that in comparison to previous years freezing my bits off even with 3 or 4 various blankets (not made of felted wool) and a space blanket for good measure on top of that, I can and now just need my sleeping bag and my trusty hostel blanket which did not remain in the hostel once I left and travelled Oz with me and came home strapped to my rucksack.

airbeds are the future- i have to admit i spent a few quid on mine- its a quechua, and can be strapped up to turn into a seat, has a built in battery pump and its just plain awesome- they have them on sale at www.decathlon.co.uk at the moment. well worth a purchase!

I have just ordered a silk liner as every time I have camped, I have had a rubbish nights sleep through being too cold - despite me wearing socks! And I am taking a small fleece blanket - rather take the risk of having too much stuff than freeze to death!

Just remember they are second hand! May put some folk off, so would hate to think of you not taking one, but then having a phobia about used stuff ...

But some stalls have piles of them, so have a good old rummage.

Yes, they are largely wool. If they aren't they are in a big ass box, surrounded by wool.

Thanks Runner, 2nd hand doesn't bother me as long as clean and not wool allergic to wool, can we stop mentioning wool it's making me itch just reading about the stuff!

What direction are these blanket stalls I'm assuming they are in the market bit, having only seen 1/4 of the site it's like my 1st time all over again
