You would think someone would have finally sorted this out after 41 years wouldnt you and seen a niche market that could easily be filled!?!

Figure out a fair price, and get it done. Ice will sell. People will buy it regardless of the weather, so long as the price is not outrageous. If it's hot the whole weekend, it will sell even quicker. Besides, if they're marking it up, they won't need it all to sell, yet still come out on the positive side.

But if it is a wet one (which it wont be :) ) they would sell very little! I think thats why it hasnt been done on a large scale

Agreed. It is a weekend of hedonism after all, and no matter how much some people try to claim otherwise, energy efficiency is far down the list of priorities.

I would buy ice whatever the weather. Drinking whisky without ice just doesn't work for me.

They sold it at the 24hr general stores, haggle with the price, they sell it in paper cups at like £1 per cup or something but we always sent the girls and they managed for about 50p a cup...

I specifically remember picking it up at the yellow store the opposite side of the brothers bar (next to the carribean food stall I think) by West Holts stage. Another one was on the way towards pyramid stage tucked in the far right corner.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
