Did anyone attend the Bills Big Roundup at the Leftfield last year? What was the script exactly? I had the impression it was gonna be spontaneous jams/covers.

When I popped in it tended to be Billy Bragg with guys who had went to prison and done music programs.

Off billy bragged website, posting by phone so apologies for poor editing...

"Waking up this morning, opening the curtains and seeing that it was overcast and raining has reminded me that we are just a week away from Glastonbury Festival. Next Thursday I’ll be heading down to Somerset to pitch the Left Field big top once again and invite artists and speakers to step up and tell us how they see the world.

We’ll be kicking off the music on Friday with Bill’s Big Round-Up where I’ll be joined by Sam Duckworth and Jail Guitar Doors graduate Jonny Neesom for an hour and a half of songs.

Andy Zaltzman will be filling our first comedy spot at 5pm.

Sound of Rum, fronted by the fabulous Kate Tempest will kick off the evening’s music around 6pm, followed by the wonderful Badly Drawn Boy at 7.30pm then yours truly at 9pm.

Saturday will see Viv Albertine, Paddy Nash and Jail Guitar Doors graduate Leon Walker join me in the Big Round-Up. Robin Ince will fill the comedy spot followed by music from Wolfgang and then at 7.30 the brilliant Kid British.

I can now confirm that our Very Special Guests on Saturday night will be Hard-Fi, marking their return to live performance with a top of the bill spot at the Left Field.

Sunday kicks off again with another Big Round-Up. Joining me will be Badly Drawn Boy, Jail Guitar Doors graduate Little Bill and Shelley Strachan. The comedy spot at 5pm will feature Josie Long.

Last years Left Field sensation Grace Petrie will kick off the final evening of music with a solo set at 6pm, followed by Raghu Dixit from Bangalore. Our weekend will end with a rousing set from the magnificent Bellowhead.

Hope to see some of you down there – come rain or shine!
