Sorry folks. But here is how I saw it.

I saw it on here and FB and dragged the other 14 people down who are mostly massive Elbow fans. When we got there it didnt appear to be in the same place as drawn up and there were no distinct groups. Then people started walking to the side of the stones n by time we got there, there was a small nois eof lyrics but so faint we couldnt join in. I dont whether loads of peoiple who didnt know what was going on turned up but in all fairness it was shit.

Suck my balls it didnt ruint he festival. As I said we hung round and had a cracking time. Was just disappointed that though there were 500 faces there only the ones right int he middle were singing hence why we couldnt make out a bloody thing over the chatter.

From where we were (see above) there was only a faint sound of elbow I'm afraid. But hey, with no amps and a load of other noise going on it was always going to be tricky.

I thought it worked out great. I was quite close to the front. One of the highlights of this year for me.

Who was the lady walking around with the big camera videoing it? It looks like she was part of the organisation. Will she be uploading the videos onto YouTube. Hope so.

Well done to all who arranged it.

just watched the video of this.

1. 1000's??? a few and lots of other people who wandered up and just wondered what the frig was going on.

2. The ones that took words are rubbish.

3. Lots of wrong words being sung (I heard at least one 'kiss me when my hips are thin' and an old 'throw beef curtains wide' for good measure.

Flash Mobs are super gay - FACT.

I reiterate the flashmob was shit.

I wish the organisers would just admit it was more of a singalong with around 100 people n everyone else talking about what was going on.

Maybe a more well known song would suffice. Not everyone is an elbow fan.

I really enjoyed it and so did my mates who I dragged along.

It was a perfect song seeing as 'a day like this' was a bit of a Glasto anthem last time Elbow played. The words also match how everyone feels whilst at Glasto too. Getting a group of strangers together in a field isn't going to get a word perfect choir with an amazing band. I think some people are taking it way too seriously.

It was the first moment when I thought to myself 'Wow I'm at Glastonbury' :D

Imagine. People organising to meet up at a festival to have a sing along! What is the world coming to? Only total w*nkers could conceive of such a thing!! Like what are you trying to do? Have fun?

No No! Down with that sort of thing! No fun around these parts. One does not go to a festival to have fun! Surely its all about making enemies with new people, complaining about mud and rain and wallowing!

this was the most self indulgant cringeworthy threads leading up to the festival. This Ian fellow clearly just wanted to get a nice video to put on facebook to show all his other braying buddies just what a "character" he is.

I'm laughing my tits off that it was a predictably abject failure.

RussyCarps, you're quite a tosser aren't you? Since when did you elect yourself The Judge of what's cool and what's not cool enough for Glasto? This was not an "Organised event" - it was a small bunch of people experimenting and trying something fun. Anyone else who wanted to join in was welcome to. Anyone who wanted to stand back and watch was welcome to. I can't quite believe the audacity of people who stomp around on these boards pissing on things they don't like - it's very unfestival-spirited..

if you're pessimistic about something

1) don't go to it

2) don't comment about it

3) do something you'll enjoy more instead

And let the rest of us who want to have a good time, have it in whatever way we want. It does not concern you, you already stated before it ever happened what you think of these sort of things, so I'm surprised you are back to comment on it.. If I know I'm not going to like something, I don't go to it.. hence no Take that ticket stubs in my drawers. And no comments from me on the Take That forums.

Jog on.
