How Can We Help In The Resale?

Hey everyone.

Just been reading through the thread for this Sunday's resale and a lot of the generous folk on here have said they're wiling to help out, which was obviously expected.

I was lucky enough to get my ticket back in October, so I'm free to help out on Sunday.

Thing is, how do I help out? What do people trying for tickets need off me and the rest of us?

Obviously some of those who've already pledged to help know how they're helping, but I'd just like to know what I can do? At least this way everyone will know how they can help if they want to.

I'd say the best thing those who already have tickets can do is to keep well away from the see tickets web site. It is going to be busy enough as it is, the last thing we need is folk who already have tickets clogging it up even more!!!

I know folk want to help and it is really appreciated, but if we leave it to folk who are genuinley after tickets for themselves and mates then we should all have a good even chance, and hopefully there will be no problems with the see tickets page!

Anyway, i'm off to pray to any god who may listen.......can't wait till sunday afternoon, at least then i'll know either way if i'm going or not as this is killing me!!!

good luck all who need it.

I'd like to echo the above comments too. Offers of help and tips to get tickets in the resale are much appreciated.

People who already have tickets, going onto the seetickets site is going to create more traffic and will reduce the chance of others getting on successfully.

I'm sure that the majority of people on the site are genuine but there could be a small number of people hoping to take advantage of peoples' desperation by asking for card details. I don't think that someone not willing to give these details to someone they don't know so they can buy tickets on their behalf should disadvantage them.

obviously buying tickets for friends is completely different as there is no risk.

Hopefully everyone who's on their computers by 9am on Sunday will be lucky.

I agree with the earlier posters on this thread who suggest that folk who already have tickets are probably best to stay away from the seetickets site. I say this because the site is going to be busy enough already with folk who are trying to get tickets from themselves, so clogging it up with folk who already have tickets, but are just hammering it to try and get tickets for folk who are doing the same thing seems kinda stupid!

So if you managed to get yourself a ticket in october then have a well-deserved lie in on sunday and by lunchtime you'll be able to read all the tales of joy (and woe) on here...

yep, avoid any unnecessary traffic - unless it's for friends etc. Sounds like it might be chaos as it is. Usual seetickets crashes etc.

When I went to get QOTSA tickets the other month, it got all the way through the payment confirmation then died, giving me some spurious error message. Luckily got through on the phone 30 mins later to confirm I had tickets, but loads of mates missed out.

I don't trust seetickets. At least ticketmaster doesn't crash (apart from the unprecedented Take That debacle - but that nearly killed the whole of the internet !!!)
