Unless they have something against Glastonbury I cannot see why they would do it [an April fool prank] two years in a row and not do it for other festivals.

I have a good friend who works with the Pixies - I asked him yesterday about the Glastonbury rumour. He laughed and said didnt you ask me that last year as well...

He then went on to say they are getting together next week to play Canadian dates and the crew will be told then about Pixies plans for the rest of the year. So, if he hears anything he'll let me know.

I know this is kinda blasphemy, but I hope they play a second down slot. I absolutely adore them, but their sets are so short! At V2004 (they were subheadlining below The Strokes) they played 26 songs, whereas they played 28 songs headlining Reading 2005, so the difference between their second down and top setlist is 2 songs (which probably amount to a 4 or 5 minute difference tops). Seems a bit of a waste to give them a top slot.

But really really really hope this isn't a second april fools joke. I arrived at their Troxy show late because I accidentally got the wrong train. Missed the first 3 songs (although I could've missed a lot more since I was delayed by over 2 hours...) and was stuck at the back of the crowd
