Baddies

Funeral Party

Noisetts

The Rifles

Brother

Mars Volta (extra band on MCR day?)

The Subways (Special guest?)

Little Comets (FR)

Minus The Bear (NME)

It will probably be bands like Dinosaur Pile-Up, Fight Like Apes, Brother, Funeral Party, Fleet Foxes, Battles, Yuck, Anna Calvi, Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, etc. (unless some of them are higher up in the FR tent).

Special guest will probably be someone like Kate Nash or the Ting Tings, or someone from a famous band doing some solo stuff (no not Eddie Vedder), although I'd prefer it to be The Music or The Bluetones.

The additonal band on the main stage? Gotta be The Subways!

If I remember correctly I think last year we got both the Lock Up announcement & the 3rd announcement (rest of the NME/MAIN stage bands) on the same day, like mid may?

on the 2009 site it says the Lock up was announced on the Mike Davis show on the 28th April & the rest of the Main & NME stage was announced on the 26th May

So easily within the next 4/5 weeks

From the FAQ thread:

What about the other stages?

Last year additional main stage and NME/Radio One bands were announced in the middle of April, Lock-Up and dance tents at the end of May, the FR tent in the middle of June, alternative tent in the middle of July and the BBC Introducing stage towards the end of July. Expect it to be something like that again.

    • I think their best chance is to get at Brazil. I though Casemiro in particular but the entire Brazil midfield was awful for the first half of that game, and if McTominay and McGinn press and run past them they've got every chance of getting the lead. You kinda assume Vini Jr and Raphinha will do something at some point in any game, but Brazil look like they're waiting for their stars to make something happen, instead of having a team plan.   I stand by my claim before the tourney that Morocco put 3 past Scotland, which suggests to me they need to nick a draw against Brazil.
    • The dance and pop acts seem to be going down more than the rest lol. Download has turned into 90s fest of the Midlands haha, but it's all silly music no one actually likes lol.
    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.
