I think he's already said that they won't play Oasis songs when they play live. If they do it'll be ones that Liam wrote, which are shit anyway.

How long is the Beady Eye album?

If they have an hour set they may need to fill a bit of time out (a Beatles cover is more likely though) and there's only so much time Liam can spend insulting the crowd.

I think it's 50-55 mins, they ended with a cover when they've played recently but I forget who it's by (not the Beatles).

to be totally straight, i really don't mind MCR headlining, really, just like i didn't mind GNR headlining.

it's just that we had LCD soundsystem last year, and this year, i really don't know where i'm gonna be when the headliners are playing.

that said... i am really hoping the lock-up would be amazing.

already answered, but yeah their set is their album plus a cover 'songs of the stage'. but i'd expect a festival beatles cover.

andy bell says here that they won't ever play oasis songs. i wouldn't put it past them to go back on that but i doubt they would for reading seeing as they can fill the hour with their album.

haha, i reckon oasis will be back together before long anyway (a year after noel's album maybe?) so they won't get much of a chance.

Does anyone reckon rearranging the NME headliners onto Main would be a better overall line up?

If you switched Beady Eye & Madness you've got a better alternative on the Friday and a band which would make much better use of the extra time and the Jane's Addiction/Pulp/Strokes & Streets/Muse clash being stupid too so switch them with say Deftones & Friendly Fires.

I listened to the Beady Eye album earlier and it is pretty poor, one maybe two decent songs. Shame as I was hoping that they would offer an alternative to MCR.

All three of those (Beady Eye, Jane's Addiction and The Streets) are legit headliners, they won't play anywhere lower in the tent. I'm still not sure what's going on with The Streets and 2manydjs, they both have their logo and there's a weird positioning on the poster. If it does stay like that then there's no way The Streets would get pushed down to third in the tent.

2manyDJ's and The Streets are co-headlining that night in the tent...says so in the new issue of NME on the line-up they have printed at the start of their R&L announcement coverage
