Blimey I only went out for a couple of hours and I had about 30 odd pages to catch up on! I know its easy to say now but just before xmas me and the gf were guessing at who was going to play this year and we both said hopefully Green Day and we thought Florence and the machine would sub to them!

Please let the rumour be true Neil, i had a 5% chance earlier in the thread, hopefully my odds have increased a little now :)

Best part of tonight?

The new fake poster in the magazine doing it's rounds on Facebook and me having the honour of just crushing people's dreams by saying "fake".

I am the only person that reads this site. However I will look like a tit if it's the real line up :sarcastic:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Neil's info only say that Green Day were doing an arena tour, and Neil then assumed that a RanL appearance was out of the window? Could it not be possible that they do the tour to promote their new album, and the festivals to do a greatest hits/20th anniversary of Kerplunk set?

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
    • Lifelong Carlisle United supporter here.🤦‍♂️ Good luck for the coming Season and see you in October!
