PurpleFire
Foo Fighters? Ill see them at MK Bowl and Isle of Wight... So tbh not big woop considering they are playing the length and depth of the UK. Silly comment to make, I dont think you will find 30 Seconds to mars, Enter Shikari, Elbow, Madness and offspring at many other places this year... Your comments are rubbish and not worth postings it always says at lot for comercialised crap when they only allocate 20,000 tickets for two days, 40,000 in total. Have a look whos sold out Wembley stadium and come back to me when an RnB act can do the same on there own, Take That did it i doubt much else from the world of tosh could. BIG WEEKEND, little point! philly_eds
Made me laugh that MCR are subbing at Radio 1's big weekend. Makes it seem even worse

Bisque
People need to just decide on what they wanna do about Leeds and Reading and then shut up and clog up some other festival forums with silly winding up!

Benj
It's average. It will be my 15th Reading and as it stands, for a first announcement, it sits at no better or worse than the majority
Role Model
Well its just a bit anoying people just comparing festivals with other festivals. MCR yes are not really big enough and yes we all know it, but its done now and still people are harking on about it. If there not happy then dont go, if it dont sell out then next year Reading & Leeds will learn from there mistakes. All i can say is Leeds and Reading are not full of the over hyped comercialised crap thats constantly being played on Radio 1 and captial FM and TV such as Xfactor and other tosh. You will all admit that if Black Eyed Peas headlined Leeds there would be somthing adrift. MCR headlining Leeds is allways a possiblity and its been known since last year that they would. People need to just decide on what they wanna do about Leeds and Reading and then shut up and clog up some other festival forums with silly winding up! rexclark
R&L probably has the best new acts at any festival in Britain. It may not have the biggest names but over the years they've always been bang on spotting rising talent. Hom many times have an act been massive by the time the festival comes around? The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys to name a few.
Bisque
I reckon Madness are gunna do a Dizzee Rascal & get one of the biggest crowds of the festival.
Role Model
Agreed, which makes it even more stranger that Jimmy Eat World are above them.

Andy_47
I think we can all agree if Melvin Benn hadn't gone around talking crap for months and months about "UK exclusive headliners, won't be headlining anywhere else" and "big guitar bands" and "staggering headliners" then the reaction would be alot more subdued over the lineup. Some really ignorant people have totally written off this festival but it's got some absolutely brilliant bands in there. Madness will be fantastic, I almost totally forget when I'm talking to people about the fest that they're playing. Muse playing OoS in it's entirety will be ledgendary, and MCR will put on a good show. I'm not a Pulp or Strokes fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm looking forward to both of them. It's a good lineup, not incredible, but no festival this year really taken my breath away. R+L has come closest though.
Lane 182
if you mashed titp and soni together you would have an amzing line up minus the first day of soni, v have one of the biggest scoops in my eyes in eminem because after his good performance at t last year it would have been a good headliner and would truly bring diversification into the line up
Vieuphoria
Eminem is not a good booking. Doesn't sing live anymore. What's the point?
Bisque
Bestival is winning the line up wars at the moment, no huge bands but very solid line up if you are into lots of genres.
Vieuphoria
Any festival with THe Cure headlining, and Public Enemy on the lineup. is auto-win surely?

Bisque
I would say it is at the moment but I think Glasto will have the best line up of the summer.
