Blink 182 hadn't released any records for several years and I've heard went down a storm at Reading and Leeds. Sometimes a band's popularity isn't judged solely on their album sales. I just consider Queens of the Stone Age as headliners to be a natural progression from where they were last year.

I think arctics could have headlined after one album but see your point. I just cant see mumfords next album flopping. From memory ting tings were a bit of a summer thing. Mumfords album has been consistently selling over a year. I think the second will sell well because people liked the first. I think they are more likely to struggle with the third. I dont really like the band but I just cant see the likes of radio 1 dropping them.

Not the same, it takes at least 2 albums (other than the exception to the rule of Darkness) for them to be consider and a lot of bands have been similar to Mumford & Sons but have flopped by the 2nd album like Hard Fi (they may have been bigger at the time) & Ting Tings etc. They will be main stagers next year and as long as they don't have the 2nd album problem they could be headliners one day.

at first i was soo pissed off with myself because i woke up late, to get my ticket. rang up see tickets about 9.45 in a vain attempt but i new the tickets would of gone.

tbh a massive rock band like queens of the stone age coming to do a pretty small gigg at the 02 academy 1 in manchester. im not sure to sure about the sound, thats all i have in the way of negatives im afaid. just glad i got to see them in the glorious sunshine at reading last year.. my god they were good.

the ticket prices make me laught.. one hundred pounds for a twenty five pound face value ticket. o dear

    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
