You do keep banging on about this rubbish. I have a philosophical degree in humanities to a masters level of distinction

it's me giving the rubbish is it? While you invent a completely new form of degree that you have, which doesn't exist.:lol::lol:

and actively work in collating, constructing, advising and writing up academic research, among other things.

Call that whatever the f**k you like Chief, but stop boring everyone with this obsession you have with my academic credentials.

then giving references is no problem for you, it's what you do.

So give me those references.

I wonder why you don't.

It's philosophical because it's academic, you tool. All academic degrees are philosophical. It was issued by the humanities department because it's humanities based and it is to masters level. Ergo, the above sentence.

I've never met anyone so drippingly wet with their polemic intention.

You: "I have a philosophical degree in humanities to a masters level of distinction"

You're so f**king stupid you don't even know which part of that you've invented from your fantasies. Do you even have a degree?

Meanwhile this is still all a diversion from you giving me those references you promised to give. Is there a reason why you're avoiding giving them you unworthy 'academic'?

I have a MA in Literature.

That must be Children's Literature then, as that's all that the Uni you attended do.

Or perhaps they've dropped it now? In which case it was clearly a very highly regarded course they ran.

Meanwhile, still none of those promised references from such a qualified academic. That's strange.

That's entirely correct.

A MA in World Literature is a philosophical degree (i.e. academic) given by the humanities department of an academic institution (rather than, say, a petrol station) to a disntinction of masters level, which permits you to lecture and/or undergo a Phd.

So Baldrick, if we have one bean and we add another bean what do we have?

Baldrick, we have a problem. Or your lies do, anyway.

Sunderland only start to run that course from next September. It doesn't exist currently. Such poor research skills for your lies.

in the sense that they are.....

secondary education has been honed to a University preparing exercise

they're not having a gun put to their head, but this is how it works

by the age of 13 or 14, they have to decide what 'A' levels they're going to take, which will determine what degree choices are left when the time comes

Come on children - this is getting silly. It was entertaining for a while but if people want to challenge or hurl abuse shouldn't the place should be personal messages not the open forum - unless of course you are already exchanging personal messages that are even more vitriolic.

Yep, it's incredibly silly. The double standards are astounding.

He's been demanding references from me, but won't give his own despite saying he would.

I know it's not new.. but it's much more 'streamlined' now, with the main objective being to get into University. It's how a school's 'success' is measured.

If we're now looking at University NOT being the only (or main) objective - which isn't necessarily a bad thing - then the part of education (primary and secondary) that until now has been designed for that purpose, needs to have a rather large re-think

which again, might not be a bad thing...

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
