If i remember correctly, the second announcement last year gave out a great batch of acts roughly on the same level as the ones mentioned above,so i reckon we will be pleasantly surprised by the quality announced, heres hoping anyway,i am personally hoping for The Vaccines,Cage The Elephant,The Pigeon Detectives,The Strange Death Of Liberal England,The Lysergic Suite and The View. ;)

Noticed Frank Turner and Laura Marling are both doing Cambridge Folk Festival, so unlike last year are both in the country the weekend of Kendal Calling. They definitely need to get them, Frank's due a main stage slot this year I reckon. Bellowhead as well!

saw them at the cluny in newcastle last year, great small venue and excellent gig spoiled by the ignorant tw*ts who stood behind me talking all the way through the set, they even did John Bramwells head in and he made a few comments about people spending money to buy tickets and talking through it. Shame really as a lot of their songs demand the quiet to take them in.

total contrast to watching them in the queens head last year at glastonbury where you could have heard a pin drop all the way through.

totally underated and would be great to see live again

******* - this thread is getting a tad hard to follow! - we're talking I Am Kloot - yes? We haven't seen them but we've heard good things..... Surely there must be some sort of additional line up announcements due very soon??

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
