A sign of things for next summer perhaps? :(

short memory Paul?

The same conference last year said the exact same thing. Yet crime was down.

They've got to find something to talk about that'll make headlines, else people will get the impression they're all sat around there talking for no purpose at all.

Which might explain why I'm not sat there too.

Am surprised you ain't there Neil, did you not get invited :P

I got an invite from slimeball once, but I guess the fact I showed no interest whatsoever offended him. He was probably offended when I ignored the two FB friend requests he's recently made too, and the linked-in request he made (not that I use it).

One day he might come to realise that I've no interest in big bullshitters like him. I wonder how long it'll be before his bullshit f**ks up that business to go with the other?

What bollocks! As No1 points out..it was the same last year (and the year before I think).

Security at a festival is simple... and its all in yer own hands.

No-one can legitamise for every eventuality, but taking the common sense approach is the best and only way to go.

More police probably wont make much difference if someone walks past your tent and sees a rucksack left out etc etc.

Its the usual thing..change when theres no need.

It must be a terrible feeling getting done at a fest, but a golden rule is (esp if yer camping) dont take owt yer cant "afford" to lose.

I personally do take my best guitar, which overall is prob a mistake--but--having a car and caravan is zillions more secure than a tent with awning eh.

    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
