Ticket Update

Hi,

Been in contact with Jim King several times this morning and here is a summary of what has been said.

Seems the server had issues coping with the demand this morning, this was made aware to Rockness and they immediately got on to Ticketsolve to resolve this within AEG to increase capacity.

Ticket allocation was increased to cope with the backlog and tickets are still on at this price for the moment.

£33 payment plan option does include camping.

2 further payments of £33 plus the booking fee to be paid by 1st February and 1st April. Non-refundable if no longer wishing to go.

Early bird tickets expected to go on sale today also -

3 day Student with/without camping £125 (+ booking fees)

(including free travel – see below for free travel terms and conditions)

3 day with/without camping £135 (+ booking fees)

(including free travel – see below for free travel terms and conditions)

VIP 3 day with camping £160 (+ booking fees)

Demand has exceeded the expectations (highest amount of early tickets sold in past 3 years) and if the rate continues, even these earlybird tickets might sell out today... so don't delay folks :)

Bought a Rockness ticket for the first time yesterday, the deposit scheme is a great idea, no way could I have afforded to buy a Glasto ticket and my Rockness ticket in the same month otherwise. The booking fee is a bit ott though, I'm not happy about paying that

so there's going to be another 3.96 per ticket per instalment??

if so thats an outrage

edit: it appears the booking fee on the 135 quid tickets now on sale is actually 13.50.... seriously what the hell?!?

i know gigs are 10% bf ususally but this is just ridiculous. Ive never seen a booking fee of more than 7 quid for any uk camping festival. outrageous, i'd wait to see if other outlets start selling the early birds (ie ticketline) who have lower charges.

if i'd have known about the unfairly high booking fee i might not have got my 99 quid payment plan ticket yesterday.... they hid it pretty well and have made it generally not clear on the payment plans what the actual booking fee was.

Folks,

There's more £99 launch deal tickets on sale just now, I bought 3 this morning. I don't know if this is due to cancellations or something like that. Anyway I'm over the moon as I expected to pay £135 and saved a few bob........pub this afternoon to spend it I think ;)

For your tickets

Ticketline = Full Weekend early bird £135 (£11 booking fee)(£4.95) = £150.95

AEG = Full Weekend early bird £135 (£13.50 booking fee) (£3.95) = 152.45

So glad I bought the £99 ticket = £112.85(booking fee+postage)

For some reason AEG are still selling £99 tickets (presume its a mistake!)

anyway if ur getting your ticket and want to save two pound go for ticketline :D

seriously whats with this 11 quid booking fee? is this the shape of things to come for all 2011 UK camping festivals?! Thought when ticketline put theirs on sale for rockness it'd be the usual £6/7

do you reckon its the VAT increase put on early in a hidden way....?

    • The wording on EOTR's IG Story is "Huw has a little secret to share"...
    • exactly. give them mordor slot when I have other alternatives, not Wednesday
    • Absolutely love her record, System. Definitely an album that rewards a bit of commitment.   She's right on my must-see list. Hoping she's in the Walled Garden, as I think her sound might be a bit muddy if she's early-ish in Far Out.   Ben
    • Same here, I kept trying to go on A View From My Seat to see if each block was worth it. So vague!
    • Ok, I’ve had time to process the experience now, so here is my review.   The good Barcelona - what a beautiful place! What lovely people! The city was like another headliner. Stayed in El Poblenou, and the bars, cafes and restaurants were perfect. Avalanches - Absolutely spectacular, euphoric set. Fantastic stage. Possibly enhanced by substances that I timed right, for a change. Added bonus that I don’t really remember the queue. The Cure - I’ve been a fan for 34 years, and never got round to seeing them, so this was a dream come true. The XX - The sound was exceptional. The lights and setlist perfect, giving each member their moment. Was really loud where I was standing (between the front and the sound desk), but i didn’t notice any chatters - even during the quieter moments. Also loved Men I Trust, .bd. , Big Thief, NewDad and Gorillaz. The food within Parc Del Fòrum was also a lot better than I was expecting.   The bad People talking non-stop throughout some of the sets, and shouting to be heard over the music. I had to move 3 times during Wet Leg just to be able to hear the band over the crowd. It’s probably an age thing, but I just don’t understand it. You’ve paid how much to watch these acts, and now you’re standing with your back to the stage, missing the music and ruining the experience for everyone else? Odd behaviour.   The weather apocalypse on Thursday. I genuinely thought I would be able to tough it out. I couldn’t. Left after Geese. The lack of communication from Primavera didn’t help.   Whilst it was lovely to be by the sea, and the sunsets were very pretty, the site is a bit…concrete-y, isn’t it? I kind of longed for some grass and trees. Often found ourselves standing on the steps by the Adidas yard by some bamboo. This was probably a subconscious need for some nature. The fact that some of the nature included cockroaches did not negatively affect the experience.   My daughter, for running away when she saw the drug dogs in the queue on Thursday, meaning that I lost her for the whole evening. She hid her stash under a bench, and it miraculously survived the storms.   Also, can someone explain the point in having a wristband, when you still have to show your ticket every time you enter and leave the site?   Finally, I would like to nominate myself as one of the bad things about this year’s Primabera. I should have done Primavera a lot better. It was my first one, so I’m still learning, but I think I left too early on the Thursday. Left after the Cure on Friday, so I would be full of energy on Saturday, and then barely made it to the end of Gorillaz anyway, meaning I missed Overmono, Skrillex, Skullcrusher, Kneecap, and a few more I would have liked to see.   All in all Amazing lineup. Decent food options. Cupra and Cupra Pulse stages were very impressive. Weather was perfect for 3 out of the 4 days i attended.   It was always likely to be a ‘one and done’ for me, but we had a blast, even if I am starting to get too old for all this.
