Being as these two people have actually worked with the woman rather than just making snap judgements about someone they've never met because she may have occasionally got her tits out, I'll take their truth over yours if you don't mind.

Both have been less sucky-sucky about their working with Madge, and clearly feel they've been a bigger part of her success in what they did with her than (putting her reputation aside) she was.

what I'm saying is as he is, I would assume self-employed, he can choose who he does and doesn't work with (which I cant). So if he chose to work with her it is either because he respected her as an artist or did it for the money only in which case lets not put him on a pedestal as a great producer

What you're missing from that is however you work (self employed or directly employed) you still have bills to pay, and expectations from others for your earnings.

So just as your choice of where you work isn't solely driven by just money or just respect for the person who puts money in your hand, his isn't likely to be either.

Madonna nicked the reinvention idea from Bowie, who I can't see anyone criticising for it. Kylie nicked it from Madonna. I've watched Kylie concerts, and can only ever think that it's a poor mans Madonna show as themes, showmanship etc seem so familiar to those done by Madonna years prior to them. Madonna woudn't even make it through X Factor auditions for her singing ability, but she made it before all that gubbins, and has done some really good songs whether she wrote them or not(never heard anyone knock Elvis, Sinatra or Aretha Franklin). I reckon she'd pull it off whether she is singing totally live or not. It would be a very stripped show given her usual stuff. And lets face it the majority of the field would be w*nkered anyway and love singing along to Like A Prayer or Into The Groove.

Cause it's how she works. Kylie and Bowie aren't great singers but are great artists. Bob Dylan is genius but equally isnt a great singer. Equally nor is Ian Brown but the Roses were brilliant to watch.

Madonna does sing live, but on the occasional track has the tapes to back her up whilst grooving.

All I'm saying is I'd reckon she'd do well.

Oh balls, I've made a hash of this. I just mean that she'd do ok there. As for the others I'm pointing out yeah, she isn't the best singer, but nor are alot of other big names or artists that are deemed way up there.

And for the record I don't think Kylie is a great personally, but many do and see her as one.

I don't see Dylan's changes as re-inventions or taking on a different personality, it feels like natural changes. The same as many artists over the years... it's what (naturally) happens.

With Bowie it's as if he wakes up one morning and makes a conscious decision to be something that in essence he isn't... from Ziggy onwards

I've heard that Dylans more recent material is up there with his best, but it's that voice...

I have really thought about this rumour and I really can't see it being Madonna. She is just TOO big and I reckon she would turn her nose up at playing Glasto unless she was paid millions!

I've been thinking about this too and so long as she kept her clothes on and leaves the leotards at home I reckon she could pull off a good set.
