Scales didn't budge this morning and gutted doesn't cover it!

I did more exercise this week too - and followed Slimming World to a T! I am hoping I get a better result next week, keep on keeping on and all that!

I've dug out all my Evil Witch books (Gillian McKeith) and am perusing them for weightloss tips and have decided I might just shell out a bit on some superfoods/herbal teas/healthy supplements. A. I know they really do work. B. there is just 3 weeks to go until a certain fest. C. apart from having to look at Evil Witch's face everytime I pick the books up I know it is good for me.

Nettle tea brewing as I type this and aduki beans on soak! I am going for the diuretic approach to weight loss...magic beans that suck those toxins out!

My calves are STILL killing me though 48+ hours after destroying them. But my daily half hour swim was ok especially using the mantra I had playing my head...must trim up for the G...must trim up for the G!

well it seems glasto is going to be inundated with slighty skinnier people this year, well done to everybody for the losses :)

hopefully i shall shed a few more pounds before g day, but had a victory today. just to appease the weather gods i went to get some new shorts today, and found i had gone from a 36 down to a 34 :D see you all at the cider bus to try and put it all back on again

Wow that was loads of weight. Did you exercise as well? I tried to out for a run but I felt really tired and light headed so gave up. Hopefully these side effects will calm down so I can exercise too.

Does anyone know how to combat binge eating?

I have days where I eat enough food to sink a ship and I carry on eating and eating until my stomach hurts. Then ill start drinking juice or milk because I can't eat any more. Then I get really down because I'm bloated and feeling like I gained a stone in a few hours.

I've lost 2 stone 2 pounds slowly since November (as I've had days/weekends where I do the above) but I'm worried when I go back to 'not dieting' that ill be on a permemant binge. So would like a way to overcome that issue..

Dont really know the answer to it really. I go for that approach sometimes just because my brain just goes into 'f**k it' mode but currently with this goal in sight I have got 'get on it' mindset which seems to be working.

The sudden craving for chocolate that is coursing through my veins as of about 10 minutes ago isnt good though :(

I appear to have inadvertently put myself onto the Baby Food diet for the remainder of this week. I started with all good intentions to create the miracle weight loss Aduki bean casserole out of the Evil Witch's repertoire but the only aduki beans I had in my cupboard were a bit old and tough even after soaking overnight.

After cooking the foul looking broth for over half an hour the beans still werent right so I blitzed it and now have a huge bowl of what can only be described as looking as something you might come across in a turdis at 3am! :O

BUT it tastes totally lush, its like proper baby food thickness, takes time to eat which is a good thing. It fills the tum properly thus aiding slow digestion and no hunger pangs later in the dayy and will hopefully see me well on my way to a further trimmer situation at the end of the week.

I would post a pic but I dont want to put anyone off their salads! :P

wow, what a productive and healthy weekend so many of us have been having!

have my second weightwatchers weigh in today, not feeling too positive if i'm honest, the bank holiday weekend turned into a bit of a gin-fest (different type of festival preparation!) resulting in hangover food on top of the empty gin calories

fingers crossed...

ps - dvjj: zumba was great fun! perhaps not quite cardio-y enough to be that effective, but better than sitting at my desk for another hour :)

I've been following this thread for a bit now, and decided to hop in as I'm having one of them days where I can't be freaking assed with the healthy eating & just fancy a nice pint & some chinese salt & pepper chicken & chips. Of course, this can't happen, so I'm here having a moan haha.

You guys have done a lot - so well done for keeping up the motivation!! I've been attempting the Glast-Get-Fit with a combination of sheeeet loads of fruit smoothies for breakfast, fruit & veg salad for lunch or rice cakes, and a slightly more substantial dinner, along with numerous dog-walks & at least an hour on the Wii on Just Dance intense programme or tennis. The latter is for my lazy days B-) Ima poor student and can't afford all these fancy Evil-Witch beans & seeds & oosits & watjamacallits - being healthy is an expensive do!

Anyway, I reckon I've lost a few lb's this week, no where near my target - but dilligaf - it all adds up. Keep up the good work folks, and I may be popping by the efests meet to say hi (If I can spot you. What with you all being so slim ;) )

Took jimmystobo's advice (well kind off) I could only managed 20 minutes on level 8, 7 and 6 - i had to turn it down as it was burning my legs so much!! I am aiming to do 20 mins a day (obviously hoping this increases as time goes on) and hope that this gets the legs in better shape!

I did do some squats after my 20 mins so didn't feel too much of a failure!

Day 5 of Atkins. I've still not managed to have a dump. Think I may have to take something to help it along tonight.

The head aches have gone and I managed to go for a swim and a sauna today. Going to weigh myself Friday so finger crossed I've lost some weight.

I'm going to search for old threads and if that doesnt come up trumps possibly post a thread with questions about how and if it is possible to eat well at the G and keep the calories down (apart from the cider ingestion). I know this is a big task and ask during the week but before I do, can anyone think of any particular stalls/foodstuffs to consider.

Lets put it this way, much as I love La Grande Bouffe and Growlers, I may try and avoid them this year if I can be strong.

The Meze stalls are a possibility. Can anyone recall proper deli style salad bars anywhere? Vegan Vegetarian are an option obviously.

The swimming is beginning to come up trumps I reckon. I found a website that says how many cals you lose with each different stroke. Will now be powering with backstroke twice a day until next Friday! Good for stomach muscles apparently.

Have lost 1.5 kilos in 10 days which is a start. A tiny amount in comparison to what can/needs to be shifted but hopefully by the G all this hard work will be worth it. Am even considering not drinking a lot of cider at the G and instead sticking to my home made fruit flavoured vodkas (no added sugar) with low cal tonic!

I don't think I'm going to be making a conscious effort to eat well at glasto but I love fresh/healthy/interesting food and I think most of the time ill be eating ok, apart from my nutella bagels and cider/vodka/wine!!

Edit: and also the hangover food I love including party rings, milkshake and mini cheddars...whoops!!
