fingers crossed for you dvjj!

2.5 off for me last night, so have now lost 11.5lbs - really hoping that if i try hard i can make it to a stone off before the festival. fair enough, all that would mean is being back to where i started a couple of months ago, but the thought of having gone as i was a few weeks ago, feeling awful about myself, makes all the hard work worth it.

chatting to the other half on the way home last night though and we were thinking about just how HARD it is to lose weight - i went without a LOT of stuff this last week to achieve that loss!! just getting used to changes i guess

ps - Lucy, don't take the outfit back! you'll feel 5 times better in it that you will in a primarni replacement, i'm sure, and it's a great target to work towards

i wore my shorts to work yesterday and it felt so good - i was dreading sarcastic comments and things but had nothing but positive looks.

waiting outside weightwatchers last night and a couple of ladies tapped me on the shoulder to check that it was a WW meeting that i was waiting for. when i said yes they laughed at each other and said 'ooh, we worried you were too slim to be here for that'. talk about mega-confidence boost :D

The Primani outfits are nicer I have to say. And easier to wear - jumpsuits with buttons and longdrops...not a good combo!

The food plan I have started is surprisingly yummy. I normally really dont like ryebread but I bought the sort with pumpkin seeds, toasted it, spread mustard on instead of butter/spread, super nom! I am a no regular bread zone now hopefully. Got to get through a full week's work in a hospitality tent next week whilst trying to eat healthily. Brown rice for lunch every day I expect!

Felt a little lightheaded from my swim this morning but I think it was the extra 3 minutes in the sauna that made me feel slightly off. Had to give up the swim after just 20 minutes, was aiming for 45!

Am I concerned about how to cope with the imbibing of booze pre-fest at the Efest meets on the Monday and Tuesday pre G as I dont want this final 2 week push to go totally to pot the night before the fest and I get to the G in the same sad lumpy state having managed to shift some of it. Lets put it this way, I am one of those people who has evil cells that WANT to be lumpy after years of training! :(

is it the booze that you're worried about, or what the booze might make you eat (if you know what i mean)?

if it's just the booze then perhaps stick to spirits, i tend to find that they make me feel less bloated etc (and there's certainly a lot less calories in them if you have a diet mixer).

as for food though - i guess either try to have a filling healthy meal before you've had too much to drink, so that you're still full when it comes to the end of an evening takeaway stagger, or perhaps try to identify a healthier take-away option before you start drinking, so that if you do crack you only crack in one direction?!

can you eat wraps or pittas, or do you have to avoid all bread altogether? kebabs or houmous and salad from the kebab shop can actually be a not too terrible option!

I gained 1 1/2lb...

I did an extra 30 mins on the treadmill a 5k run and extra spinning class and didn't overeat my WW propoints at all!! now have to lose 3 1/2lb to make target by next Wednesday as will be at Glastonbury the one after!!

Do you weigh yourself at all? :) I'm not personally dieting to lose weight, so I don't profess to be an expert, but there really are so many things that can cause a person to gain that amount of weight, not including the possibility that it may just be a blip, it's well within what I would consider to be a natural variation, so don't get too disheartened :) I weigh myself once a week fresh out of bed, after the bathroom and in the nip. ;)

I'm pretty pleased with my progress ATM, have managed to get my work out frequency back up to what it should be(once every 2 days), after a bad cold last month(lasted a fortnight :() and a back injury the month before that.

5x5 Bench Press@55kg

5x5 Overhead Press@55kg

5x5 Back Squats@55kg

5x15 Bicycle Crunches and/or reverse crunches

5x15 Press Ups

5x15 Dips

Now off to stuff myself silly with salmon, broccoli, eggs and rice.

Thanks :) I am aware of all those things having lost nearly 7 stone :)

I had hoped to hit a total loss of 7 stone by the weigh in before Glastonbury (hence the disappointment)which is next week, it looks unlikely now as I would have to lose 3 1/2lb over the next 7 days..never say never though I am an optimist B)

I think everyone on this thread has done really well! So big pats on the back to all of you!

I am not weighing myself again until the 21st and I am hoping to have lost a little more by then - my legs won't be as toned as I would like, but hopefully they won't look too bad! My copy of Zest magazine has an article on the front that says you can lose 3lbs in 6 days - not sure if anyone wants to give that a go??

That is already a phenomenal achievement, I know it's a sin to make excuses when you're determined to do something, but after having lost 7 stone, I wouldn't be too hard on myself. Good luck anyways. :)

Wow...I just did a weigh in at home. I appear to have already lost 7.7lbs / 3.5kilos in just 2 and a half weeks AND with that low patch last weekend. Fairly impressed I have to say, just got to keep it up now whilst being out of my house for 14 hours a day next week. Yay for brown rice hopefully.

wow Lucy, that's incredible well done! all that swimming is obviously paying off

cejx - unlucky on the STS but there's still almost 2 weeks to go (ok, maybe 10 days!). something drastic might give you that final boost

perhaps we should all meet for a final weigh-in at one of the saunas at the beginning of the festival (after carrying all our stuff in and then steaming for about 30 mins )

it's my birthday tomorrow and i'm actually considering not having any cake. if that wasn't bonkers enough, i'm worrying about offending whoever offers it as well!

honestly, i sometimes really wonder about myself...

I do hope everyone is able to make it to the Wednesday Cider Bus meet so that we can all meet each other in person and hang out whilst NOT drinking cider and getting lots of weird looks.

The guilty feeling I am going to have as I drink those enormous amounts of calories is going to be quite large. I can visualised the sugars going down the throat and then the lumpiness swiftly returning. :(

ooooooo nooooooooo. Rubbish weightloss. :-( Don't beat your self up about it - you've truly done a brilliant thing - and get angry at the 1.5lb, and make the adrenalin work for you! 3.5lb IS a possibility by Glasters - and stick a set of scales in the car for a weigh in on wednesday (OK, they aren't calibrated to WW but you'll still recognise a loss). I have plateaued (AGAIN) and wanted to lose 4lb for Glasters, which also is unlikely!

xx

Well done everyone, I'm joining the next one for sure.

I have only just got over a knee op and a procedure on my back that has left me inactive for nearly 6 months and 2.5st heavier than I've ever been. I know there's no G next year but wouldn't it be great if we can console ourselfs with the fact that we look better than ever!

Well done again everyone. :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

P.S I noticed one or two of you have mentioned that although you are doing the gym, walking, exercises etc you have put on weight. DONT WORRY as this is completely normal here and there. MUSCLE weighs more than fat. As the brilliant person has said on page one, drink plenty of water and do your measurements.

Can't wait to see you all at the cider bus meet showing off your new bods!

Bugger.

Not going to be able to get to the gym at all next week. Working a contract that has me leaving at 7.40am on the bus and not getting home until the gym closes :( There is the possibility of driving down to the town I am working and getting an early swim in possibly but I have to play this by ear. This is the last week of my monthly gym membership.

I know if I dont exercise the lumpiness returns fairly swiftly. I shall really try and do sit ups etc when I get home and bounce lots on my trampette. Going to a party tomorrow but going to avoid booze and try and eat beforehand.

Hohum.
