Who do I believe - pogo or the former deputy leader of the party. The curve hasn't levelled off since the election, the curve never existed after the election, except downwards. labour as been losing members for years and that did not change after the election. It was all spin to try and destabilise the coalition. I reckon oaf will know better, but I would imagine it's fairly straightforward for an administrator to make a website look like it's crashed. Unplug the server or somenthing

Unless they are using something like an Access database to run the website (which they won't be doing) I found it VERY hard to believe there was enough simultaneous connections going on to bring down the website. But hey ho... What would I know...

They could of easily made it look like it was crashing...

Given Neil manages to keep this website running with upwards of 3000 people at a time using it, I cant belive the labour party was getting that many simultaneous hits from new members

Its in a mess... Surely the membership should be asking tough questions of them ?

Brown has a lot to add to the party, but his image is so off-putting it will never happen. Shame the same doesn't seem to apply to Campbell and Mandelson

I signed up on the website and about a month later I saw money coming out of my account and I got a membership card in the post... How would I know how much debt the party is in ?

I always enjoy the "Accounts" part of any Labour Party meeting. In the last financial year, our Branch made a whopping 12p in interest
