ticket touts

just remembered (dont ask me why) that there were the usual ticket touts outside download this year.

when you went into download this year they scanned your ticket,gave you your wristband,then returned your unmarked ticket.so,basically two questions - -

1)how do you know that the tickets the touts are selling havent been already used?

2)whats stopping you getting your wristband,going back out and selling your ticket to the touts saying its a spare?(revenge for the years of them ripping us off,ha ha)

or have i missed the point and this scheme was meant to stop touting (obviously unsucessfully as they were still there)

they didnt rip mine either.i didnt take my ticket in the last 2 days so i would have been in trouble if they'd have asked for it.

As an aside to this:

I've always wondered what would happen if you gave your used ticket to a mate, who can then say that their wristband has been lost somehow (works better if said mate has a day ticket for the Friday - that way he's already somewhere you need a ticket for, an you can say it came off while moshing) and get a new weekend wristband for nowt.

You wouldn't be ripping the tout off you'd be ripping off the person who bought off the tout when they don't get in.

The tout ain't gonna give them their money back!

Also, as your ticket is numbered and barcoded the organisers can easily find out who bought it, you never know where these things end up.

Anybody who sold on their ticket in this way, with all their details a barcode scan/ticketmaster reference number away is just an idiot.
