Good to see Neil in the tent meaning I can avoid the main stage for Amy McDonald. Friday looking better to me. That could change though once I start checking out the unknowns and some of the TBC days get announced and hopefully a few more decent acts.

Website, while looking pretty is sadly lacking in vital info this year.

Latest newsletter info:

Eliza Doolittle (who?)

The Remains (Ramones tribute)

Maybe Winehouse (Amy tribute)

Non-music:

The Chang Gang (aerobatics display team)

Fairground rides (vintage, apparently)

Sweaty Bella (mountain bike racing)

St Helier cider

Finding the Will Theatre Co.

And, according the Bella website, there will be a Co-op store onsite all weekend.

Doolittle had an annoying song in the charts with whistling.

Not sure who is picking these acts but have lost the plot this year!

What's next Singing Kettle or Bucks Fizz (sadly I would not actually be surprised if either of these were announced)

PS I know all the "its not about the line-up" stuff, I will still have great weekend but would have liked a couple of decent bands. :)

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
