What a set. Not many there for it but it was fantastic. They did the two new songs which sounded excellent. The Satan mix was the best i've heard them do and having the current Doctor Who come on stage for Dr? was a brilliant move.

Agree, best set of the weekend. I saw them at The Big Chill last year and it seemed as if they were going through the motions but last night they completely reworked all of the songs to beef them up for the live stage and it totally rocked for me. That Drum & Bassy version of Satan was amazing.

I think it was probably my set of the festival too. Quite a small crowd because of 1) Stevie Wonder and 2) the fact that many people there are probably too young to remember their heyday, but I thought it was perfect, and the crowd size did increase as time went on. It was the sort of thing where if you happened to be passing and didn't know what to expect, you were likely to get dragged in.

Highlights for me: the setlist as a whole (throwing "Impact" away in the first 10 mins... flash gits), the Matt Smith appearance, and the bit an hour or so in, during "The Gun Is Good", where a sampled voice ranted about how God should have invented lasers on the first day and instantly the lasers kicked in for the first time.

What was also really nice is that the two tracks from the new single were great and fitted in really well. Their last album really wasn't very good... now all of a sudden I'd like to hear a new one again.

'I just called to say...I am glad I passed up on Stevie'. It was way better than in 2004, and better even than their amazing set at Manchester Academy this year.

Orbital were absolutely amazing, and space to dance. It was the perfect end to a perfect festival.

I agree. Nice to have a bit of space to have a dance.

I went to the bar a couple of times, got served immediately and was back to my spot in a few mins.

And I've never seen them before and wanted to for years so definately happy with my choice.

The set started very similar to all of last years shows so I was enjoying it but not entirely paying attention. But as certain things kicked in, I got chatting with the awesome people around me and the sparkle glasses came out and were passed around creating gasps amongst everyone who wore them...Satan began...and then it went very very mental!

The new tune sounded so much better live, the mad mix of Satan was astounding, the other new tune totally blew me away and the tears almost came. Halcyon was quite simply one of the best ever versions they have ever played especially with the Opus III loops. :D

All the folk around were mostly first time viewers including the group of 5 boys all about 14 years old who had been ordered to watch by one of their dads. It was so stunning to see and watch them dance their bits off and when they used the holo specs, their night just came alive!

But...BUT...I can honestly die now as that ending which at first I wasn't paying much attention to, I realised who or what is that as...it...dawned...on...me...the Doctor hadn't died in the Pandorica...HE WAS ONLY ON f**kING STAGE WITH THE HARTNOLLS DONNING THE GLASSES AND THEN PLAYING 'DOCTOR WHO' WITH THEM!

The screams from my already destroyed throat were so strangled but they came until the point of almost passing out!

Truly one of the Hartnolls best ever shows and I was certainly in a far better state at the end than the suicidal and sobbing state I was 6 years ago. No tears this time just pure joy and happiness and shock. Ok so breathing and talking was tough but bloody hell...

Thank you Phil and Paul for existing and making my life complete again. I didn't return to Oz because of you two. See you in 2 weeks :D

I took my 11 year old this year for the first time and we were leaving Sunday night.

We started watching Stevie but it just didn't seem to be much of a climax so we went across to the Other Stage.

WHAT AN ENDING TO THE FESTIVAL :D Amazing - he was raving with the rest of them - never seen so many glow sticks thrown around a crowd - briliiant just brilliant

they were amazing and unsuprisingly i'm with LL on this

great set, great new tracks, amazing versions of classics (people open windows FFS!!!), great atmosphere, gratuitous use of glow-sticks, fkn amazing light show and visual, no pressure and the best ending you could have hoped for

Orbital have a new member and he's a Time Lord. beat that Mr Damon Albarn, Messrs Muse & Mr Motown Legend
