bigsystem
I know this will have already been asked but is alcohol confiscated if no ID is present or are they lenient? thanks for any help
Savy
No idea bit surely as you are not trying to buy it there then I guess they would leave you alone. If challenged just say it's not you but your folks who will be drinking it who have already gone in ahead of you to get the tent set up? I think you'll be fine unless in the other hand you are holding an open can of Grolsh!
Lordscopie
Never seen them checking ID at the entrance. I guess you'll be fine, if you are really worried cover the crate in a binliner so it is less obvious.
caroldecker
i agree with savy its only illegal to buy it and drink it. its not like drugs, you cant be done for possession But if you get any problems, im sure someone would be willing to pretend to be your parent to get it in for you
Lordscopie
Also, don't forget - no glasses - that's what is usually confiscated.

robith
They're not selling it to you, so they can't ask for ID As long as you don't have any glass they won't give a toss tbh
KaleidoscopeEyes
So they really aren't all that bothered? Because I've got around 40 cans and a bottle of white rum to take with me and I'd get in a piss if they took it off me!

Jackmypie
What about a few 16 year olds taking some crates in? Will they take them away if they are in the bottom of my rucksack??
sammysundae
really can't see them caring. look at reading/leeds. 50% of the crowd is under 18 and twice as much alcohol in than 50% of the over 18 year olds.

KaleidoscopeEyes
You need to put the rum into a plastic bottle. Other than that you're fine.

thelizardking
I disagree with the majority of people writing on here that you won't have any problems, last year I was 18 and my friend was 17. We both got asked for ID (I had mine, my friend also had his, however his birthday was on the sunday) and my mate got his taken of him. Even though his birthday was on Sunday, and even though I was 18 and offered to 'take it off him' the guy still said no. He was a complete dick about it, but im sure they're not all like that. Luckily my mate still had a few bags of wine in his bag, which the guy didn't even bother searching.
Jackmypie
Kk I just bought a couple of crates Do the people at the gates just search EVERYONES bag? Or just those that they suspect.
FunkyDenz
Jackmypie, you've been to 8 Glastonburys, surely you know by now? They don't search every one's bag, they just pick people at random.
