as the title says really its my first time at glasto and am just wondering what the search is like going in?

We didn't get searched last year and didn't see many that did. A couple got frisked but no more than that. Didn't see ant having bags searched either but perhaps we were just lucky.

I got searched last year, and it was a proper search and really really annoying, unroll sleeping bag, check wellies, socks, empy everything in bag, look through tent bag, smell cigarettes (tailer mades) etc etc etc

There's always loads of glass bottles on a table at the entrace so I guess lots of people do get searched and have them confiscated.

there's 2 chances to get searched going in by car. the police at the vehicle gate and security at the pedestrian gate. both appear pretty random on who they select. then there's usually the police at the service stations on the m5 to, who are there for glasto goers.

As for illeals, ive heard stories of their being sniffer dogs on site, but *toutch wood* ive never seen them myself. Dont be blatently obvious and nieve in where you stash.

Last year i realised at the last min before walkingpast a group of police that i had my stash in my top pocket, was a tense moment.

I just hope im just as lucky this year too.

and yeh, its a proper search, everything out of bag, then they refuse to help put it back in whilst everybody else walks straight past laughing at you!

mate, the police are out in force at castle carey when it's glastonbury, with sniffer dogs running along the queue!!!

Along with paddington london, police will be out with the sniffer dogs

dont recall seeing ay anywhere else other than these two places, but there may well be
