Good to see the season is already a joke before its even started. This rule about being able to postpone games for friendlies. especially when they knew that rangers and hibs are both playing friendlies on the 6th August, yet didnt have the foresight to have them play each other that week so there's only one game off, rather than having two teams sitting about on their arse that weekend!

Hearts statement

24.06.2011

The Hearts Board of Directors has issued the following statement in relation to outside influences on players and the club.

"What's happening with the club today is not a new thing. For almost 7 years we have been fighting to shield the club from crooks, criminals and thieves. Many of the top players at the club have felt the bitter results of the swindles that have been carried out with them on their own skin. Skacel and Webster have returned to the club after realising where these 'football patriots' have led them.

"Over a short space of time 4 players at our club have been on the wrong end of the law. We note that 3 of them are represented by the same agent - Gary Mackay - who has been so vicious in his attacks against Mr Romanov.

"Taking into account the facts that have been omitted by the media it can be presumed that each of these cases is not a coincidence, but the result of targeted actions of a mafia that wants to manipulate the club and the results.

"Every year Hearts fights to be in the top 3, but even last season in the last 12 games of the season it was almost like someone replaced the team with a different one. Whose fault is that? Players? Manager's? Or it is mafia.

"Stealing players, bad games, problems with the law - all of that on top of record SFA fines. Problems are just shifted to another level.

"Mafia are dragging kids into the crime, in order to blackmail and profit on them. It is not possible to separate these people from pedophiles, and you don't need to do that. Each year we are forced to fight against these maniacs harder and harder. We are standing in their way not letting them manipulate the game of football in the way they want. As such they undermine us in every possible way they can.

"The task of the club is to tear these kids out of hands of criminals."

Looks like Colin Calderwood's leaving us already for the assistants position at either Notts Forrest or Birmingham.

Rumours for his replacement include the janitor, the guy who supervises the pie stand at Montrose FC and Jimmy Calderwood.

I think him and Deuchar could make a good partnership. He's very enigmatic, Will show up for certain games (notched a couple of goals against the old firm the last 2 years) but others just doesnt seem to care (Motherwell semi final sticks in the mind). Plus I dont think he was ever in decent shape last season. He could still do a job in the first tho :P

  • 2 weeks later...

Busy day for us today.

Keeper Alan Mannus signed from Ireland

Pipped Hibs to sign Sheridan on loan

Turned down an offer from the huns for Murray

Pretty happy with Sheridan signing, hoping we can hurry up and sign Marcus Haber as I think the two of them will make a pretty formidable front line :)

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
