Very much hoping for more luck in having something to actually watch when I get home this year as opposed to the nothing /random rubbish recorded in several previous years due to either severe finger trouble on my part and/or completely useless relatives

Been watching all the clips on the BBC website, was watching it last night with my mate. You should watch the 1997 compilation then watch the 2009 one. Is it just me or is music shit these days? Guess it's just that in '97 I was just starting to really get into music so I'm sure it's just a personal thing...

From the festival website

"Ever since the BBC's first TV broadcast from Worthy Farm, back in 1997 when we captured Radiohead going live into Paranoid Android in a sea of mud, our TV team look forward to the challenge of filming as many stages as possible for as long as we can amongst a huge crowd of very happy people!"

from the info on this page....

http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/news...onbury-coverage

.....it sounds like Stevie Wonder isn't being shown.

Across the programming, viewers can enjoy live headline sets from the likes of Gorillaz and Muse; classic acts like Ray Davies and Jackson Browne; the hottest British acts from Dizzee Rascal to Florence and the Machine; experience Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg; and sample unsigned acts on the BBC Introducing stage.

They mention the other 2 headliners, but not Stevie

Performance rights apart, the beeb seem to want to give us the 'safe' end of the festival, and miss out loads of stages such as acoustic. It gives those who don't go a populist flowery version of what actually goes on. I mean for the last fee years they have had full sets from ting tings lady gaga, interspersed with what mostly is self indulgent rubbish of no lasting interest. This year jack Johnson but no slash or Steve seemingly? When I watch it back, apart from pyramid bands I sometimes wonder if they were in the same place. Wouldn't it be good if they could cover the real diversity and not what the producers kids like?

Not really any point having a moan at the BBC for just covering the main stages really. It's a bit like having a pop at Match of the Day because it doesn't feature matches from the conference. It's always going to be the way

personally, I don't give a flying f**k about the coverage. I'm there, in amongst it all, I have my own smells (!), tastes, emotions, views and all the rest of it adding up to my memories of the weekend. Watching it on telly seems fairly pointless, especially if you were there.
