I thought the whole 1/2 time analysis was to discuss the game being played, not for England to w*nk all over themselves (again!)

I am enjoying this.

A goal, a red card, a penalty miss, a crap ref and a potential shock on the cards.

Delighted the tournament has livened up so much. And by god it has!!

it is strange that a british TV provider would want to keep up with the british nations in the competition

if only there was a camp wales or northern ireland to break up the english coverage. i would say if only the scottish were there but i think i'll have to keep it to the believable and possible

i suppose they could always cut to Craig Levein and ask him how his efforts to get weejockpoopongmcplop out of retirement are going

Nice to see a big team lose again. A shit ref has finished off Germany today, any country would say so after this ones first half performance. Then again they've had enough chances to finish it off not least the penalty miss.

The World Cup is definitely on now.

what a great game of football.

everything went against the germans today. terrible reffing decisions. terrible penalty. a sending off and suspension for one of their best players. and a loss.

BRILLIANT

I dont really agree with the home nations argument some people use. If (unlikely I know) one of the other home nations had qualified theres no way either station would give them equal coverage that england get in the group stage. However a commercial station like ITV has to cater to its audience so you can see why they do it, the bbc is a more difficult one.

I agree with every word of that, even though I found it intriguing.

What it did show is that IF England get through and we end up facing either of these sides, they're far from unbeatable.

Serbia were very wasteful, and the Germans 'hard-done-by' attitude - though completely understandable - was their downfall (no pun intended).

I also wonder what that will do for our lot watching that? Maybe they think 'I tell you what - we can beat either of these'. Hopefully, it might give them that boost we can take into tonight's match.

Game - and tournament - very much ON. For many sides.

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
    • I was having a tired day, my apologies 😂
    • I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀
    • Slightly unexpected, but Shambala is discounted on TfG.   Works out at about £215 after discount which is about a third off.
