Am I correct in thinking that argentina are confirmed as winnners of the group unless greece beat nigeria today? I suspect we will see argentina B in the next game as Im sure they could beat greece. Then again Argentinas second string have a load of great players. Anyone have a bet on higuain for top scorer??

Annoying thing is, he should've had a couple against Nigeria too. With the run in that they seem to be getting, I'd have them down as semi-finalists without much trouble.

Defensively they're bad, but how many teams are going to be able to keep them below 4 or 5 good chances a game?

The funny think is that nigeria have lost their first 2 games but will probably still qualify if they beat south korea. Will be interesting to see how argentina treat the final game knowing they need only a draw or probably a narrow loss to win the group. Will they play a complete second string or just rest a couple of key players and those on yellow cards. Will be interesting to see what diego decides.

Can see goals in this, Mexican manager is talking like they're throwing everything at a win:

"We will play like it our last match. I don't know how many goals we can score but we will certainly look at testing France's goalkeeper."

7/4 on Over 2.5 goals on Skybet.

Also, France will be looking to put that miserable last performance behind them with a convincing win.

Hi All

Anyway, just wanted to say I had an awesome time and Cape Town is fantastic. Real buzz about the place

Oh yeah and vuvuzelas are fecking tremendous :D:D Everyone in SA is loving them. The media etc might hate them but pretty much everyone in SA is having a ball with them. Oh yeah despite the arrogant we want everything like England abroad up there own arses ignorant and f**king embrassing vile English w*nkers I seem to come across on a daily basis. Its pretty awesome in the stadiums when you have 60,000 of them going off :D

Anyway, really busy catching back up with life so will post about my experience later :)

Oh yeah, and given what I said above about English people it would be fecking travesty if we ever get given a world cup. We would f**k it up. Would be shit.

*You might notice the average English fan pissed me off during my stay :0 Luckily there was many more people from different countries who I had one hell of a time with :)

Welcome back, Oaf. Really enjoyed the Twitter updates - thanks a lot for those!

The France v Mexico game is really lively - very open - both teams going for the win.

Dare I say that the tournament has livened up properly now?

Oh you little fibber. Don't try telling me that when Green fumbled it, it wasn't your favourite moment on the tournament so far.

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
