Advice Needed On A Ticket Situation

Guest Jonny Hobbs

Recommended Posts

Okay. So me and two friends used the deposit system to buy our tickets this year. Paying the deposit worked fine, with each of us reciveing a confirmation email.

Now the problem. We paid the remaining balance before the dealine. We have proof that Glastonbury have taken this money from the account. But none of us have recieved a confirmation email. I have thought about using the ticket trackers or giving See a ring, but one of the my friends dad's used his credit card to pay, so i do not have the required details for these things. He wont ring them up as he doesnt see it as a problem.

Basically, has anyone had a similar problem? Has this happened to anyone in the past and what happened? What shall i do about it?

Thanks for any help recieved...

Just check on the ticket tracker on the See website.

It won't matter that you used a dad's card to pay as the only info you need to be able to track is the order number sent to you by See and either your e-mail address or post code of delivery address you gave.

Job done!!

If you havent got any of the 3 details you need to check online you are a bit stuck. I find it a bit strange that a friends dad wont give you either the booking reference or the last 4 digits of his debit card.

Only other option I can think of it to ring up and give them the post code and see what they say, you cant be any worse off than you are now. :P

Basically, he doesnt see it is a problem. if they have taken the monet, we must have tickets. But i want to make sure, as the lack of a confirmation email is worrying to say the least. Im going to have to talk to my friend and get him to get his Dad to give him the booking reference number and/or the last 4 digits on his debit card. Then use the tracker. i think its the only way to do it tbh.

Thnaks for the help guys. Im sure this will all work out :P

As i said before, a friends dad dealt with the payment and therefore has the order number (if it was given when the deposits were paid?). If the order number was given out after the remaining balance was paid we may not have recieved this number at all. Either way, i cant use the trackers. So what to do?

Could you try and ring See and give your registration number that you needed to purchase your ticket along with your address/postcode. They then may tell you if that registration number has successfully purchased a ticket, and if so could they re-send a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address given when you bought the ticket?

Really dont understand why he cant just give u the last 4 digits of the card used so u can check online. Tell yer mate just to get em when his dads not looking. Is he just being twisted, at the end of the day I print my confirmations etc to be on safe side ur just being safe.

i'm pretty sure that if you paid them off in one transaction, the confirmation email is only sent to the person whose name is at the top (ie, the one who they'll be delievered to). You get one confirmation email cos it's gone through as one transaction.

but yes, phone see.

So were you in a similar situation to me, with Glastonbury having taken the money but not sending out a confirmation email? What did you do? Just wait it out?

Just looked in the junk floder. Nothing. After speaking to the friend who's dad bought the tickets. He says the money was definetely taken and can get bank statements to prove this. After initally registering, i lost the email containing my reg. number and only have the number needed to pay off the remaining balance. Is the same thing?

J Hobbs,

did you notice my suggestion above??? Here it is again...

Check the reference number from the original £50 deposit confirmation email.

Now go to the tracker, instead of putting that ref number in, put the same number but +1

.i.e if ref number was 236744 the new number would be 236745.

I crapped myself the other day using the tracker when it came up with the £50 deposit paid thingy. Then I realised I had used the wrong ref number, I noticed the new ref number was the same + 1

Hope this works for you JH
