Having looked at your record collection, and obviously having extensive knowledge of your musical and personal preferences, and of course bearing in mind I know your exact circumstances (how many times you've seen each of the above acts, where you'll be before the headline act comes on etc) then I have deduced that U2 is the act for you.

It's amazing what you can deduce from the word 'Help!'.

Love it :P

Ok then

Never seen any of the acts mentioned before

Pre Headline act will probably be Hot Chip on other stage

Mates will be seeing U2

Recently reset my last fm at end of march so obviously music trends are not totally evened out yet, tend to go through stages of listening to one artist/band on repeat here is the link though

Anyway, a few reasons why I'd go for U2 if you weren't sure:

  • It'll be an EPIC set from an absolutely huge band

  • You're bound to know a few songs

  • You'll probably kick youself if you miss them

  • A lot more chance of seeing the others at another time

Of course, if you don't actually like their music, it'd be a bit daft to sit through 2 hours of it. I really think U2 will be quite the spectacle. Really looking forward to seeing them.

The solution to this kind of dilemma is always to go with your gut when the time comes.

I used this technique to choose between Super Furry Animals and Radiohead. For weeks running up to the festival, I was undecided. On the day, the choice was absolutely obvious.

From the choices you have put up I'd go Bootleg Beatles. Don't like U2, never really been a huge DJ set fan either and the XX are overhyped and undertalented IMO, very dull.

I'm actually tempted to catch the Bootleg Beatles set. Could be a really god singalong and nice atmosphere. Plus it's a short hop from there to the late night areas.
