Grub?

Hi

I've been to V and the only food on offer there was burgers, pizza and more burgers!

I hear there are some incredible food stalls dotted around at Glastonbury including a watermelon stall, afternoon tea and that you can sit down for a three course meal. Is this true and where is it?

:P

You can eat very well and healthily at Glasto.

People speak of this Growler thing but TBH that looks like the worst bit of grub on offer!

Food is available all over the site and is fairly standard prices for festivals

Yeah you can be healthy but then I couldn't have a fry up in a bun, jerk chicken, burritos etc etc :P

Although have to say the stuff the Harekrishnas give out for free is aight! :P

Standard festival prices, well it can be but you can get cheaper and far better quality!

Last year being my 1st and only really spending my time round Other, Main, Jazzworld and Dance areas I thought the food wasn't any different from any other festival. Did get a nice fresh chicken burger from the walk from Other to Jazzworld other than that it was ok. But I didn't really explore thats what this year is for.

Plenty of good cheap food around, just stay away from the main areas :P

And while some food may look pricey, the portions sizes are pretty good = value for money :P

You're never going to get high street prices, but Glasto is definitely one of the best festivals for food/price. Can't wait to tuck into sausage & mash at Le Grand Boeuf :P

deffo in the greenfields you can get tea at 50p and decent tea aswell. In fact the stall I kept going back to did homemade cake for a £1 too - bloody lovely place

the aussie bbq is good, basically anything other than the run of the mill burger vans.

I had some nice garlic prawns last year.....they cost me about £7 though,.

If you want reasonably cheap, filling and tasty then go down the pie-based route.....there is all manner of pasties, square pies etc

If you want to buy stuff from around the mainstages then it will cost you, go for a stroll around and get better grub, cheaper. Plus you get to see the sights/sounds/smells that make Glastonbury, Glastonbury. Simple :P
