visited that glacier that on the volcano is on when went out to iceland in december, was a pretty amazing place. would love to go out there now and see it happening, looks bloody awesome from the pics

now, I'm just curious, but what makes you think it's all bullshit? And why would the governmnet not want planes in the sky? or you just generally suspicious of things?

I mean, we know there's a volcano spewing ash all over the continent, and we know that engines conk out if they fly throught the ash... so... what's your thinking?

Having just listened to the icelandic news, there have now been 'rumblings' near katla... they're not sure yet exactly what it is, but if that blows then what's happening now will just be the hors d'oeuvres..!

if that goes off 'properly' - think the last one didn't manage to break the glacier or something - that'll be absolutely immense if it happens, make this one seem like a baby. that's due a proper eruption as well, isn't it almost 100 years since it had a proper eruption i.e. broke the surface?

Shouldn't be worried about this volcano. Should be more worried about the one next to it which is 5 times bigger and usually erupts after Ejyafjallajökull erupts.
