we are looking for another festival to go to this year and the line-up looks great and the price looks good, but I cant seem to find any forums on their website* and I have a few questions

Is there family camping ?

Do you park next to your tent (if not how far is the carpark) ?

Is there an arena (ie can you take your own beer) ?

How much for a pint of beer ?

Hey ,

- very big family camping area this year next to the kids field

- nothing is far from anything in boomtown!! but you don't park your car directly next to your tent

- you can take your own alcohol into the festival / arenas however this is limited upon entry top the actual festival, (please see website)

- pint of beer / cider £3.50

Toots is a person not a band. (Toots Hibbert) And just in case you're referring to the Maytals they are no where near the original Maytals, just a generic Reggae backing band. Just thought I'd clear that up like the purist I am

yea but Freddy Toots wrote all the tracks so his backing band don't matter just aslong as they can hit the notes right...I did think that he would be headlining though. Considering he's probably the most influential living reggae and ska artists. Giving consideration to Lee Perry obviously...Who I also hope will be announced.

Mr PC and myself are considering this festival because Mr PC is interested in catching Citizin Fish and Subhumans after not seeing them for a lot of years. However, I gotta say that I was hugely surprised at seeing Toots on the bill so far beneath Bad Manners!

Will something else be going on on other stages during the time that Buster Bloodvessel does his thing? I can understand that a lot of people might think that a good knees up is a great finale to a festival, but I know that, if Mr PC's discerning musical tastes are offended by the prospect of an hour doing the cancan, I will never hear the end of it!

Also, is this the complete festival line up and when does the running order for each of the stages/each of the days get announced?

Yes its true Bad Manners have had to cancel their slot at this years BTF ... , a US tour sceduled for september has been bought forward and they have no an control over it, an official statement from Buster will be live on our website shortly!!!

But...

Never fear...

Our good friends The beat have jumped in to fill the slot before Toots! (now to headline sunday night)

and to top it off Makka B and his roots ragga band have jumped in on the reggae stage on sat night ,

Am getting tempted by this festival with Arcadia being there as well now , sounds good fun. Is there music going on till the early hours then? Also the Downtown area (below), is that micro venues similar to Shangri La?

New for 2010 is Downtown a new area branch off which will incorporate all things bizarre ya average town can offer. With 6 new mini venues expect, rundown pubs, rotten restaurants, the Devil Kick's Dancehall, corrupt casinos and backstreet zombie balls.

Similar question to the last one above, is there any after hours type stuff/how late does it go til. Never been before, but a friend of a friend reccomended it at glastonbury, and i've really got the urge to do another festival this summer now!
