To be fair to pogo, I'd never think to put tin foil on a pie to cook it, The whole point is to have nice brown crispy pastry isn't it? It was a bit of a strange instruction - you're usually trying to brown pastry more by brushing with milk, not trying to protect it from browning.

What kind of pie was it pogo? :P

For the first time ever I f**ked up a roast today.... :P:P

I did a roast chicken and for some reason it was not cooked though...

I was gutted, there is no other way to put it.

Maybe its was my sight or something but I am currently pissed as a fart and on some great meds becuase it really has effected me..

For those who know me they will understand...

However food was served only after nuking the chicken in the microwave....

By the way it was:

Nuked chicken :P

Home made bread sauce

Home made gravy

Broccoli

Swede and carrot

Roast pots

Roast Parsnips

Mashed Pots

Stuffing

So the pie will be okay, just a bit burnt at the top? Result!!!!

The folks are away on holiday. I cook my own meals though, deicided to be a bit adventurous when they were away! I cooked a steak the other day too!!!

I have an oven pizza. But the pie is up today, so I gotta eat it or it's bin bins!

A bit adventurous???! :P:P

Pogo - you just posted a thread on an internet forum to ask how to cook a steak pie. I'd love to know what your idea of a 3 course meal is. Probably a tin of dog food and a satsuma finished off with a Cornetto Whippy.

retarded thread for a retarded question.

i'm doing a veggie stirfry the night, but i've never done one with brocolli or baby sweetcorn before.

now i know the clue might be in the word, but do you just fry them with oil raw alongside the peppers, mushrooms etc, or do you need to boil them first?

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
