Bloody hell,

I was comparing the way the line ups are announced to show our erstwhile colleague he should hold out for the big reveal - i.e for Glasto you get it all in one big gulp. I wasn't comparing the festivals themselves at all - I've never been to T so couldn't comment.

If we're going to compare Glasto and TITP to a restaurant, it'd be like this.

TITP would look like a michelin star restaurant on the outside, you'd go in, you'd be sat down, got a first glimpse into the kitchen and see Marco Pierre White cooking stuff up. Your first impressions would be "brilliant, this looks incredible". He'd then go on to cook you course after course of super noodles untill all you have is a load of processed crap, and when you complained you wouldn't get your money back.

Glasto would be the same start - you'd be sat down, receieve impeccible service and although it'd take ages for your food to arrive, everyone elses dishes will look incredible.

Then your meal will come out, diverse, beautifully presented and authentic. It'll be placed in front of you and the person sitting opposite will say "What? No f**king Radiohead?". An argument will then ensue and Michael Eavis will declare it "the best meal ever, despite the rain".

Glastonbury have only announced 4 acts! Patience There will be 3 times the amount of acts at Glasto than T and then all the rest. Poleski never fear, chances are you'll be too captivated by something random at Glasto that you won't care much for the acts

As everyone else has said, wait till you see the glasto lineup, and if its gonna kill you to miss some bands, how about a day-ticket for T.

But much more importantly than that, while nobody on here can guarantee how good a time you'll have, and a lot depends on what type of person you are, if you were to ask most people on here who have been to both V and Glasto, im sure nearly all them would say, probably with a knowing smile, just go to Glasto, and see what you think by the end of June.

If you find, for some reason, that after glastonbury youre still wishing you'd gone to TITP, well at least youve experienced glastonbury for yourself, and theres something to be said for doing new things just to experience them for yourself.

Poleski, I often miss a lot of bands that I wanted to see at Glasto and end up buying day tickets off gumtree for T. Can always do both As has been said before, many bands do the full festival circuit
