People have to understand that T in the Park is a well established festival with a much larger budget to deal with in terms of booking acts. T in the Park deals with a different market !Rockness has a fantastic setting, a great set up,a manageable size for getting to and from stages/campsite etc and plenty of good music to keep you going! There is still plenty to be announced also. If you the examine the artists announced so far, that isn't going to last 3 days is it?

After all..if you are a follower of both, go to both!

Somebody really needs to get their finger out...... T in the Park has blown basically every festival bar glasto out of the water!!!!! 1.

Strokes are never a headliner.. 2..... their first two albums only last 40-50mins

Expect T to sell out straight away...... with Rockness struggling up till the day........ and that's with Radio 1 Exposure....

i think you'll find T prob didnt want or they would have been there seen as they have all the money,....

anyways i'm not slagging Rockness....i'm going to it!!! was just expecting abit better....

Vampire Weekend then the Strokes is a disappointment.... should have been a bigger band to split them up

yeah yeah yeahs, bloc party, interpol for example

Seen the Strokes 3 times and although their decent live and will be a good gig, no energy, no showmanship, they just play and leave

1) bloc party not playing gigs for the foreseeable future and have raped most major UK festivals for the past 4 years. They are boring and have not made one note of good music since silent alarm 5 years ago.

2) YYYs did all the fests last year, and would not be an inspired booking, not that theyre available.

f**k knows what they are up to, announcing one band on the same day T make their big announcement.

i'm happy with vampire weekend and i think plenty of others are too, but they should have announced a few more just to keep the excitement levels up. they are risking people going to T instead. they really should announce a few more bands before the T tickets go on sale.

    • wombats have been doing that and selling quite well, couple of really strong support acts could make it work.
