Have we had any 2nd stage headliners?

im not sure we have had our 2nd stage headliners....otherwise A.Copping wud have stated that we had, like he did with B4MV. Also im not sure we've had our sub headliners yet. If people are going by the poster and saying Them Crooked Vultures, Deftones & Stone Temple Pilots are the subs then just look at last years poster and see who was playing "3rd down" last year - 'Limp Bizkit, Pendulum & ZZ Top'. I would say all 3 of them "3rd down" bands are bigger than this years subs, which cant be right? surely another announcement for the subs then to come...

Edit: TCV will prob be a sub however as iv just noticed theyv just been announced to headline Roskilde - and barring Glastonbury that is probably Europe's biggest festival.

well surely the extra 30/40,000 tickets will cover for the extra costs of ACDC etc....if all the headliners, sub headliners and 2nd stage headliners have all been booked surely that leaves no excitement for the future announcements....and its only february & we've only had 2 announcements, surely he's kept a couple of gems back....i still think we'l get a big sub yet ie judas priest, deep purple, van halen?

The thing is, last year the headliners were smaller bands - no ones would have cost them as much as ACDC / Aerosmith. Thus they had more budget to fill the slots below.

Bigger headliners = smaller bands below, as Download has to stick to a budget. TCV are definitely second, Deftones have played 2nd before and Stone Temple Pilots are.... well I don't even know but I assume they're bigger then Funeral For a friend or Jimmy Eat World 0_o.

There could be more bands up there, but I doubt it - guess it depends on ticket sales more then anything. Personally I think 30STM are a strong shout for a 2nd stage headliner as it seems to be a decent 'opposite' to RATM. Stone Sour too tbh, their main appeal is to a much younger crowd then Aerosmith.

Someone please tell me we are going to find out who the 2nd stage headliners are soon!

If possible, I hope even more that it is not Stone Sour now cus DL have just tweeted this: Corey Taylor: "I can't wait to get Stone Sour back to Download. There should be chaos, there should be disorder, I may take my pants off..."

I yelped. In front of the whole office. People are staring at me! :P

    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
    • Most likely not, keeping an eye on Tixel and Twickets might be the best option.
