Everyone might be sceptical but last year there were lots of instances of people going on to See Tickets and managing to get a ticket when it wasn't an official resale date. Granted it wasn't this early, more like May/June time, but it did happen!

I was onto it 1 hour before they came on sale in October ? , I am hardened from the 02,03,04 years !

But I got a ticket for White Lies on Valentines day so anything is possible !

Yep and if the tickets become available through the seeticket.com/g2010 site then I get a text message (as do all who have signed up to my SMS alerts) notifying me, it worked for these peeps and more.

So either my alerting wasn't working properly or the tickets were on sale for less than a minute..

That's interesting! I didn't know they had set that up for this year. I presume it is a new thing and wasn't in place last year or else it definitely wasn't working right!?

It's a good idea! Will have to tell the one person in our group who hasn't got one about it. Although I can see she would still be checking the site constantly just in case - always nice to check yourself just to be certain!

Saying that, I wonder if it would work succesfuly anyway? Presumably a lot of people have signed up for it. So if they did put tickets back on in small batches like they did last year and the text message goes to a lot of people, it would take time to get through I would assume (like the O2 texts I get for my phones - i will get one on one phone before I get it on the other). So if the tickets were to go back on in small batches, surely by the time the majority of people got on to take a look the tickets would be gone anyway.

But then I guess maybe they won't do the small batch thing again this year and will just do big resales.

True its good for those random re-sales though!, its how I got my tickets!. I got a palm pre, and there was only emails then, got the email and booked my tickets at Waterloo station on my palm pre! Was on the stations wifi at first, but then it was struggling to through and I switched to 3G and it got sent through. Amazing and wouldn't have happened without niblets email service.

Why it obviously depends when you get the email/text you got more of a chance of finding out about these random sales for sure.

I would be very surprised if any tickets go back on sale until after April 5th. Thats the end of the TAX year. If they sell them before April 5th they have to pay the VAT this year. If they sell them after then they don't have to pay until next year.

Selling them before 5th April will lose M.E lots and lots of money in interest. Because of this my prediction is that there may well be a lot more tickets available in the re-sale than most people think.

Have they said exactly how many have already been sold ?
