How's about Portishead headlining with Martina Topley Bird as second on the bill? With a nice warm afternoon/evening sun, cold beer and the breeze in the flags....

Never going to happen I know but, well, I can dream.......

:P

I like the fact that there's more and more to see and do on the Thursday - but wish there were more notable and higher profile acts on. How about using most/all of the stages from 6/8pm on Thursday? That way it'd still be a late enough start to encourage some people to arrive on the Thursday (as opposed to virtually everyone on the Wednesday) and you'd distribute the crowds more evenly. Last year having Maximo Park open William's Green on the Thursday afternoon was an error..... Everyone descended on a relatively small area regardless of whether they wanted to see MP or thought they had a chance of getting inside the Queen's Head.

Wilco or My Morning Jacket should headline The Park on Thursday and be given a 2nd slot 2-3 down on the Pyramid. Both Jeff Tweedy and Jim James can play a solo set (or 2/3) - both are amazing performers. Jim James would also provide the opportunity for Monsters of Folk to play - and possibly collaborate with others (as he has with Bright Eyes, Laura Veirs and The Decemberists). The Decemberists would be brilliant too - a truly outstanding live band.

hopefully won't be anyone too famous at zeitguetsie maximo park were bad enough last year although i would like to thank them for trapping me in the acoustic field with the real ale tent

the parks probably my favvourite area and if you have so many people there and the wheathers bad it may f**k the area up for the rest of the weekend

so a normal obscure park headliner but no one too legendary unless they have bigger attraction s else where

kloot would be perfect i saw them headline a small festival and they worked a general crowd well

but bright eyes bellee and seb would be better could habve a twee indie day
