The Cranberries to reform for live return

Dolores O'Riordan and co announce London gig and plans for new album

The Cranberries have announced they are to reform, with their first gig announced to take place at London's Royal Albert Hall.

The show will take place on March 3 next year.

Singer Dolores O'Riordan will be joined by the other original members of the Cranberries for the reformation, and she says there are plans for a new record too.

"I've decided to reunite with my former band members in The Cranberries and we will be writing new songs and performing tracks off my new album ['No Baggage'] as well as our greatest hits during the shows. I’d love to see you out there," she explained.

Christ no. Awful band and a terrible voice (IMO). Dined out on Linger until Zombie was a hit and then died off thank christ. Let's not roll them out again PLEASE!

Loved them when they first came out, saw them live in Liverpool and they were OK. Bought the live video and it was bloody terrible. Now Suede, on the other hand were fantastic when I saw them. Saw Stiltskin too I think. They were alright. End of ramble about bands I saw in Liverpool.

Lets get this Loud and Clear, I would rather see myself Dying in the Sun and watch them. There just a Copycat of most other Irish bands. Their Saving Grace, however is that they are not a Zombie and Just My Imagination is needed to Put Me Down.

Yeh this could go on for ever. There track titles are just picked our of everyday conversations!

Oh God; Please, No.

There must be a hundred Philippino covers bands on the Hong Kong / Singapore / Shanghai piano-bar circuit doing way better covers of Cranberries standards than the Cranberries could ever manage.

I thought those clowns got laughed out of the building about 10 years ago?

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
