Wristbands

I'm slightly bemused by this. I know I was at Glastonbury. I remember it and no-one has ever accused me of not being there or asked me to prove it. So why would I want a piece of filth encrusted fabric permanently attached to my wrist? OK, you can wash it when you get washed, but still, it's been with you at Glasto for 5 days so is probably riddled with all kinds of sweat and cowshit.

Cut mine off the day after I got home and binned it.

I keep my wristbands on for a few weeks but take them off and keep them on my car keyring.

When ever I see someone with a load of wristbands on it always smacks of 'ooo look at me and how cool I am because I went to all these festivals', then again it could be something to do with a former 'acquaintance' of mine was exactly like that and it made me realise what a pretentious kn0b he was

Didn;t actually camp in hospitality as I use the disabled camp site, far more superior to the hospitality campsite  The backstage area just has a bar area, same price as outside, with more seating etc... no food stalls or anything special.

As for wristbands smelling... Mine get washed in the shower with me every morning & always get a spray of whatever smelly I choose for that day...

do you keep your socks on in the shower as well to give them a wash?

And as for whoever made the jewelery comment, a lot jewelery is designed to be worn all the time, wristbands for a 5 day festival aren't and as someone already said whenever I see it I just think people are trying to show off by how many festivals they've been to.

And the comments about it dragging in your food, surely you see that as not the nicest of things? I'm all for the theory that we need some bacteria and am far from a clean freak (my gf will verify that) but a sweaty dirty band doesn't strike me as the ideal condiment!

they don't drag through your food if you cut the long bit off.

maybe some people do like them so that they can show off. the same way as people wear fashionable or expensive clothes to show off. i just keep my wristbands on because i like them, i wear long sleeves most of the time anyway so people don't even see them. i keep them on for myself and no one else.

    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
