Me too. I was totally confident that the tickets would be on sale for months before they sold out. Couldn't have been more wrong. I'm an idiot and apologise profusely to anyone that listened to my ill-informed, lazy drivel about why it makes more sense to buy your tickets after the rush.

Yessir.

We're both pretty hardcore festival geeks over here tho.

We're big Coachella dorks. :(

And me personally, this will be my first time across the Atlantic too.

Very much looking forward to this.

Been researching all summer and I cant tell you how many times Ive watched the 2006 documentary.

Thanks!

Cannot express our excitement.

In fact, there's a bunch of Coachella people that got thru and got deposits down this year, so hopefully this will be a bit of a group excursion.

It will be an interesting contrast between the sweltering desert and the rainy green fields.

Had problems with my registration number for hours, then realised I had written two numbers in the wrong order, then bought my mum's, sister's, and own tickets with little problem...

Sadly my girlfriend's parents failed to give her the money she needed for the ticket (It was meant to be her birthday present), and I couldn't afford her deposit by about £3, mainly due to buying her ticket for 2009... Hadn't been worried about getting a ticket tomorrow in the slightest. Nowhere near as happy as I should be about my confirmation email having arrived a couple of hours ago :(

I was looking in to Tangerine Fields but they arent sure if they are doing Glasto yet.

I would love if there was some other set up like that. Otherwise just gotta get something when we get out there. I wonder if it would be a good idea to buy a pair of Wellingtons in advance too. Hmm.

    • Pressure will be shifted to Israel, but don't think anything is going to happen this side of the election.
    • It's encouraging news, but Israel's withdrawal from Gaza will very much depend on how credible Hamas's commitment to completely disarm is.   In my view they are right to be skeptical.
    • Now we’ll see if Israel are actually capable of winding their necks in    I doubt it
    • Policing is very relaxed, provided you stay within your lines I'd say. I don't think we're supposed to have an event shelter as well as a tent next to our van, but we've done it without issue for years. It's a happy vibe up there.
    • Do feel a lot more cynical about the Mercury now. Given the awards show is now an arena event, there's clearly a pressure on them to nominate mainstream acts in order to sell tickets for it. And not saying that Jade and Knats don't deserve to be nominated (haven't listened to either), but the fact the event is in Newcastle can't have nothing to do with that... (not to mention Fender winning last year, which frankly was a joke)    Hard not to agree with this: https://www.clashmusic.com/features/this-years-mercury-prize-is-a-pivot-towards-the-mainstream/
