No puns but the latest from one of the Netweather forecasters, still looking good!

"Personally, I think the Azores High will continue to dominate our weather for quite a while yet, most of the time, which is good news in that we look to a have a very sunny first half of summer perhaps, but on the whole temperatures may not be too hot - given winds from a northerly or westerly quarter.

As the 06z suggests, we may see the occasional weakening Atlantic upper trough breaking through to perhaps bring the odd few days of unsettled/showery weather. But on the whole I am optimistic, at the moment, of a lot of settled, dry and sunny weather ahead, with the occasional 2-3 day blip as the odd trough infiltrates the mean ridge. No blistering heatwaves though."

    • Hasn't Farage been fighting for 30 years for Britain to leave the world?
    • Lower league football has this more regularly, no? Quite often I'll see League 1/2 sides have signed a whole new 11 every summer.    Admittedly, changing the entire squad is different.
    • Oh yeah I'd forgotten about their mad scramble to get back from LA to Glastonbury. Though at least there you can blame multiple flight cancellations. I do agree though that it's fair to ask why you'd risk a similar sh*t show.
    • So who's got a good rain dance in the locker, then? Now we're in August the weather watchers can come out of hiding.    Already having flashbacks to last year (the dust cloud of doom at the crossroads by the Courtyard entrance).   Also got to be looking sketchy for the fire/fireworks on the Sunday. Might be a controversial opinion but wouldn't mind it - the fencing annoyance isn't worth the 10 mins of 'oooohhh, aaahhhh', plus the raining of hot embers last year!
