Actually I've proven my own point inadvertently - Modest Mouse aren't my favourite but I really like Here we go magic, Phil Selway is fascinating booking and I've heard one track by Freelance Whales and I'm in love!

I don't think they'll do that. I know they were surprised at the popularity of The New Pornographers, but I'd be most surprised if they bumped them up headline status so soon. Bearing in mind how late they announced The Hold Steady as headliners last year, it's not like they wouldn't have time to tap someone else up.

I'm very happy with Modest Mouse and the other new confirmations.

Another band that would be perfect for EotR is Strayfolk, they're from Sweden (we need more Scandinavian bands ) and they're making some kind of country/folk-music.

I actually saw the Crash Test Dummies at the Phoenix Festival back in 1994. I was on the barrier of the main stage with no-one leaning on my back. That's how popular they were.

I think there's still a chance of Damien Jurado playing EotR as he's playing Incubate, we already have Citay and Forest Fire, so why not Damien, too?

I don't think I'm expecting to see many "big" names in the final announcement, although someone else from Bella Union wouldn't surprise me. EOTR and Bella Union seem to go fairly hand-in-hand, but as far as I know there's only two artists on the bill (Mountain Man and The Low Anthem). Wouldn't be surprised to see John Grant added and am keeping my fingers crossed for The Acorn and/or Ohbijou again.

I also heard a long time ago that Dan Mangan was playing, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

I guess we'll find out in the next week.
