Camping in white

...what's it like?

and more specifically:

1) does it get full up really quickly on the Thursday (since it looks smaller than the other campsites),

2) is it ACTUALLY much quieter/chilled (enough to warrant the long walk)

3) how long exactly does it take to walk to the arena?

Thanks all!

I haven't camped in white so don't know how quiet it actually is - but I have walked from there (since they put the footbridge in last year, otherwise it was those frigging annoying boats) and it is a bit of a trek to the arena. Is a trade off really between peace and convienence. Just make sure you leave in plenty of time to see your bands!

1, fills up gradually not a great deal of demand for the "quiet" camp full by thursday 10pm ish

2, VERY quiet its like being in a graveyard and imho u miss out on a great deal of the reading atmosphere (not all of it is bad), its the kind of field that if you play your stereo past 11pm people will come and complain.

3. The walk is fairly long, approx 20mins at a steady, unimpeded pace.

Benefits: Cleanest toilets on site, easy access to your car (if parked in white) OWN bar, security tighter and more visible due to it being the edge of site.

hope this helps.
