Pendulum, The Hives, The Prodigy, Slipknot

Those 4 have all played some of the other Sonisphere festivals across Europe, and are all available on 2nd August, with 3 of them (I think) playing gigs in Europe on the 1st, so kind of makes them all plausible.

I think the slot is too big for prodigy or slipknot, so I'd put my money on....pendulum.

someone having ticket number 30,000 doesnt mean 30,000 tickets have been sold, its most likely that each agent got 5000 tickets to sell and they have each sold "some" tickets. I seriously reckon there will be less than 20,000 there for the friday/saturday, and metallica could easily have sold 50,000 tickets for the sunday.

my money is on a quiet fri/sat, and a busy sunday

I think it's a fact that Bjorn Again are the only band on the bill to have sold out Wembley this year?

And I know its a fact that this is a rock festival.

So Bjorn Again are the biggest rock act at this years festival. Fact :P
