There are many theories involving conspirers. Some more meritable than others. You seem to be focusing upon the more outlandish ideas, much like the media does.

I don't mean to say that people shouldn't question whats put in front of them by the government ect. All I meant to refer to is a mentality held by many to create a alternative reality to major events. It's mostly harmless, untill they start protesting at ground zero telling the families who lost people in the attacks that their own government did it.

Yes. Delusional people who need supernatural meaning in their lives tend to indulge flights of fantasy, but that's not really anything to do with conspiracy theorists. It's like using a few extremists from an Islamic region as an example of Islam.

Conpiracy theorists to me either don't know all the facts, want to rebel against the establishment or find the truth too hard to deal with. It seems to me far harder to accept that a few men in a cave hundreds of miles away could plan and organise such devestating attacks rather than their own government, something they have far more control over. I can only assume you refer to conspiacy theories such as the reasons we went to war with Iraq, in which case I understand your point but I don't really transfer the tag of conspiracy theorist to those. All I think is that people should gather information on both sides before making a desicion on something that effected so many people

Then you have a somewhat biased understanding of conspiracy theories.

The word theory itself implies 'not knowing all the facts'. A conspiracy is simply a purposeful intent or plan constructed by more than one person. So, a conspiracy theory is simply a theory concerning an activity or event that suggests the intent or involvement of more than one person.

Paranoid people are inclined to believe in conspirers with malign intent in the events they see in the world. You can see why they'd take to extreme conspiracy theories. Doesn't mean all conspiracy theories are wrong though. For instance, Karl Marx was one of many rather influential conspiracy theorists. I wouldn't have called him paranoid.

Bourgeious pigs I say. It's a pity about the Wickerman? I am off to Kendal Calling the Weekend after, but have you considered Solfest the same weekend as Leeds/Reading. They still need stewards, and it's 2 x 7 hour shifts over 4 days, and all you need is to send them a cheque for the deposit. hey don't cash it, they just hold it and give you it back when you do your shifts, but I know they never cash then anyway.

You can ask to be in my team, I have my son on mine. It's not rocket science and to be honest it's just stood around alot. Sometimes just directing people, sometimes hanging around the dance tent looking out for people mashed etc, or stood in the pit of the main stage, or just at the staff entrance. Essentially just chatting with people, but you are a point of contact for the punters in an emergency, and then you radio me, and then we all get together and hug it out.

No, dunno who was narrating, but they interviewed Patrick Moore, Buzz Aldrin and a lot of very thick Americans who are convinced they were a hoax despite the scientific EVIDENCE to the contrary.

I shouted abuse at one stupid hick whose theories were as watertight as a sieve.

It was an amazing achievement by mankind yet still some tossers have to try and find fault with it. Fine, disagree with the need to do it, and the money spent doing it, but don't belittle the achievement itself.
